The boss finally praised Shaw! 🙌 Thought he was class midweek. Didn't catch this match as I was on an airport run but I've been told he was decent and hell if he's finally been praised by Jose it must have been a good performance!!

No Jose just wanted to take the pressure off himself again after dropping points at home so he put the spotlight on Shaw!

Wenger should have hooked Özil. The subs were baffling tactically. Wrong players off. Xhaha and Özil should have been the two off in the double sub.

Giroud has a face you'd never tire of smacking with a shovel. So glad they lost

Silver lining is we don't move back to 6th! Yay!

Palace are a side in good form right now, we should not forget that. They got their little bit of luck from what I have read in the first half and then looked to exploit Arsenal's weakness.

I feel sorry for Wenger I really do. While I don't necessarily believe changing managers will fix Arsenal's problems, it's clear he has lost the fans. Any bad result and the fans are all over him. I mean they have been well beaten in their away games recently.

Big result here for Liverpool as Arsenal have a relatively easy-run in on paper. They could pick up 5-6 wins quite easily, but even then I don't quite think that will be enough for Top 4, as it's clear something is not quite right.

The PFA awards nominees have been announced:

PFA Players' player of the year nominees

Eden Hazard - Chelsea

Zlatan Ibrahimovic - Manchester United

Harry Kane - Tottenham Hotspur

N'Golo Kante - Chelsea

Romelu Lukaku - Everton

Alexis Sanchez - Arsenal

PFA young player of the year nominees

Dele Alli - Tottenham Hotspur

Harry Kane - Tottenham Hotspur

Michael Keane - Burnley

Romelu Lukaku - Everton

Jordan Pickford - Sunderland

Leroy Sane - Manchester City

Who do you think deserves to win?

Seems that best player these days is determined by who scores the most goals.. Think people like Courtious, Dele, Mane, Costa, Lallana are unlucky to miss out on the main list. Can't really argue with Young Player Award.. but Harry Kane.. really!?
All of the Player of The Year nominees are goal-scorers. I agree with you, Rooney where are the aforementioned names on the list?

I reckon Hazard or Kante will win the main award and Kane or Alli will win the young player award.

Surprised Costa isn't in the list, he's been far more consistent than Hazard this season. I hope Kante gets it anyway, the less represented role getting some recognition.

Be amazed if it was anyone but Alli for young player.

I'd be amazed if it was Pickford who wins Young Player of the Year. Alli to win that award.

Massive 3 points for Liverpool!

Ibra on the bench for the Chelsea game? Think Jose is saving him for Anderlect..

1-0 to United at half time. I hope Man United win, not only for ourselves but also for the sake of having a title race again. 4 points between Spurs & Chelsea will make things interesting again although I still think that Chelsea will win the league. I would prefer Tottenham to win it and I think if there were a lot more games remaining they would overtake Chelsea but it's too late now I reckon.

I too am hoping for a more exciting title race rather than just a Chelsea stroll to the title.

On the subject of the nominees above, once you are nominated for one category it should make you ineligible for the other category. Lukaku and Kane on both lists? Think there should be an age limit on the young player of the year award and anyone over that age at the beginning of the season is ineligible.

Any thoughts on this?

There is an age limit, you have to be under 24 at the start of the season to be eligible.

But I agree on your point that you shouldn't be on both lists, if you're good enough to make the main one then your age is irrelevant.

Chelsea still have to go to Everton who have turned invincible at Goodison, I can see Spurs winning all their remaining games, wouldn't it be great if Spurs did catch them as retribution for Chelsea taking great pleasure after that 2-2 draw last season?

While I admire the team they got, please can Tottenham not win the league? Would be insufferable.

It would be very ironic if Tottenham did win the league this season in the midst of Arsenal's worst season in decades. Arsenal fans have been gloating about finishing above Tottenham for decades so if Spurs did win it then they would never hear the end of it.

If Spurs win their egos will block the sun. We already don't get enough sunlight in the UK as it is.

Pure buzzin with that! I saw the team sheet thought "well we're losing and giving up on top4" but fair play I was wrong that was a quality team performance.

I understand those that say it was a handball but to them I would like to counter with the fact that Costa was still on the pitch past the first 15mintues never mind still cutting about cheating at the end. Cahill should have been sent off in the second half for going for Rojo in the united box and hazard should have had 4/5 yellows for simulation.
