The tiebreak at 25th/26th. In which both qualify. This rarely happens in the first round but it's always awkward, because the idea is that one wants votes to be retained for the next round, so most past editions have gone off high votes for tiebreaks, especially in the first round. I 'switched' to most votes last year and in the one instance it was a factor, it was a little controversial, and I only used it then because both songs looked fairly even on proportion of high votes. Here however, one of the songs involved CLEARLY has more high votes and so would be almost guaranteed next round support, but also several less votes overall. So this is the cop-out decision but I'll be the one to deal with 61 songs in the final. Additionally, any further 25th/26th tiebreaks in the remaining rounds will also qualify both songs. In other news, Crystal Castles' unusual AQ up until last year, when they fell out at a high 37th, is not repeated in the slightest this year as they fall well short of the qualifying zone. But then it's also worth noting that Foals' Spanish Sahara, sitting in the bottom 5 now, was an AQ at one point in this game. And Taio Cruz' brand of dancepop has retained fans too. Ellie Goulding is clearly the dominator here, all three of hers make it through this time at a point where Your Song couldn't make it last time - one of them surely has to be a new AQ? 2011 results and new rounds after I've eaten.

Which then went on to do fairly well in the final (even if it did fall back out to round 1 again). I hope Lost & Not Found makes it through this year because of that.
