Actually that wasn't clear, which was why I asked. I use social media but evidently not with the sort of people who are interested in this track.

Even the singers haven't made much impact apart from Susan Boyle. I know Paul Potts had a Number One album but not a single.

I saw Martin Solveig's 'Do It Right' appear in the top 100 earlier, I am seriously dying for that to do something.

 

Reduced to 59p now and I'm sure its impact date is not too far away so it may start progressing!

I think Calum just appeals to more of the record buying public than the others. Bars and Melody and Gabz debuted high enough (#5 and #6 respectively) but they didn't capture enough of the public's imagination to sustain that.

On the album front, the chart positions (Boyle aside) have been pretty decent with a lot of artists managing top 10 albums. Obviously because of the hype back then, Susan's sales (for her debut album) were huge.

Imagine if it was CALLUM SCOTT who knocked Drake off? :lol: Anyway, I heard the song on CapitalFM today, so it's being played by them now!

As I predicted Calum coming for Drakes weave :lol: This is the kind of song that Capital and Heart will start bumming and the fact it's still 59p it could do a Shawn Mendes on us and get to the top, obviously streaming will hammer it but the surge since the video was released and radio play picked up has been huge for a track that didn't look like it would trouble the Top 30 at one point!

Oo that's great news. Heart/Capital are playing it - now just need BBC Radio 1/2. It's certainly been responding very well to its airplay starting to pick up - could very well be the song to topple Drake in a couple weeks time (unless something else of note is being released before then?).

So happy for The Chainsmokers. There was a period I thought that Don't Let Me Down would be overlooked by Roses but to see it now in the Top 5 is brilliant.
