July 24, 201610 yr it's not miles ahead, Perfect Strangers is actually closer than anybody has been to One Dance in weeks I think that Cold Water has the #1 guaranteed if it doesn't drop on SPotify... it's selling 3 times more than One dance on itunes and has started with over 300K on Spotify Major Lazer has climbed to No.2 today
July 24, 201610 yr Major Lazer has climbed to No.2 today That's the Number 1 Single sorted for this week then!
July 24, 201610 yr That's the Number 1 Single sorted for this week then! Thank god for that. I suppose it's not wildly out the question that Drake could sneak another week in later down the line though? :(
July 24, 201610 yr Thank god for that. I suppose it's not wildly out the question that Drake could sneak another week in later down the line though? :( not wishing to spoil the spotify thread but let's say Jonas Blue aren't out of this
July 24, 201610 yr Not with Major Lazer about the place. In 10-12 weeks time Drake will be selling at 30-35k. Edited July 24, 201610 yr by Sharpshooter
July 24, 201610 yr it's not miles ahead, Perfect Strangers is actually closer than anybody has been to One Dance in weeks Was just about to say that, Yesterday Jonas Blue climbed a lot also on streaming numbers. Was wondering what was JCM20 thinking of, because Jonas Blue was never so close to Drake so far.
July 24, 201610 yr The thing to remember is that Drake is also behind Frankie Laine, not just Bryan Adams. So if he's beaten to number 1 this week, he could still reach Frankie's overall total
July 24, 201610 yr Author I think it's unlikely that Drake will re-overtake Major Lazer at any point, in all fairness.
July 24, 201610 yr Thank heavens we're getting a new number 1 this week especially as it will stop One Dance equalling the successive weeks at the top record.
July 25, 201610 yr Major Lazer is now no 1 on Spotify and iTunes so hopefully official no 1 is secured. Edited July 25, 201610 yr by iain

July 25, 201610 yr First time I've seen a compilation chart update on here and looks like Major Lazer have #1 in the bag :cheer:
July 25, 201610 yr oh nice to see Drake down to #5 even if thee's missing data :) surprised at ELO being #1 in albums taking advantage of the lack of big releases!!
July 25, 201610 yr I just hope Anne-Marie can secure her first top 40 single. Jonas Blue and Calum Scott would have more sales if their songs weren't album-only on NOW 94 Edited July 25, 201610 yr by Hadji
July 25, 201610 yr Drake at #5!!! :o :o :o (most likely go back up though later in the week) Potential new #1!!! :o :o :o ELO leading albums!!! :o :o :o Now 94 sales!!!! :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o
July 25, 201610 yr YAAAAAAY :cheer: It would be great if Drake could stay that low but I know it's unlikely, I'll be happy if it drops to 3
July 25, 201610 yr Author I can see Drake dropping to #4 by Friday, with Jonas at #2 and Chainsmokers at #3 going by the daily sales. Major Lazer's #1 isn't under threat one bit thankfully :D Anne-Marie is looking good for top 40 right now thank goodness :cheer:
July 25, 201610 yr Major Lazer & MSlashO the saviours of the chart :cheeseblock: (and Justin Bieber too I guess, but don't make me say that again ;o) And more importantly, KING BRYAN's weave is safe *.* ZGoWtY_h4xo Edited July 25, 201610 yr by Chez Wombat
July 25, 201610 yr Ooh yay for ELO being midweek #1 and seemingly very likely to get their officially! Should be comfortably over 10k too, which shouldn't sound that exciting, but considering I was expecting Bear's Den to be Monday Update #1 with about 5k (predicted the sales right), I was anticipating a week with no albums passing that mark. Great to see that Major Lazer will comfortably be #1 in the singles and it would seem Jonas Blue has enough of a lead over Drake to remain #2. 'Perfect Strangers' is anything but perfect but certainly better than his version of 'Fast Car', to me.
