Reminders have beent sent, we are still waiting for 12 sets of votes
Voted - the standard was pretty high for this semi, my 12 was by far and away the best in the group of songs, though. An average of 7.2 is pretty impressive - there were a few tracks that disappointed me considering the hype they appeared to have behind them.
My social life is at a complete standstill so I'm distracting myself from the fact I have no solid friends in this city to do stuff with on a Saturday by giving BJSC the care and attention it deserves. On my second listen-through and, as well as names I've already seen hyped, Usfland and #00274E are among the standouts. <3

I also relate to this as well <3

FLJ votes are in. Feels like quite some time since I heard that many guitars in a BJSC semi.

It just clicked why I enjoyed "Fall On Me" so much, it does remind me very much of "Trash". You weren't joking.

Bah, that sucks :/. I moved to London in May for a job in a bit of a rush, after being quite settled in Edinburgh, so it's been tough to start again and find new people here (though Tinder's doing its job~). But yes, Buzzjack and its members have been a big help for me (as I'm sure they have for you) in similar times so I'd be all for that! ^_^

Anyway, I voted a little while ago and was pretty impressed overall - about 20 songs I'd have liked to support. Really hoping people aren't too intimidated by the Norwegian alphabet and get Skall over the line.

My votes are sended, hoping the five or so songs I also considered pointing make it through as well because they were seriously close!
If the Symphobia song had been played to the entire Daily Telegraph readership at the beginning of June, most of the Leave majority would have suffered fatal heart attacks. On such things are referendums decided.
Voting was tough! I also didn't give a single song less than 4.5 which must be some kind of record.

My votes were ready at 11:55 but the power went out lol sent!
As much as most appear to be all WTF at it, I think Cumulonimbia's entry has such potential... I'd never noticed before how set in dance music the theme was and if you get rid of the first nonsense bits and add in more of the news story bits then you could have something quite poignant and great.

I've always thought this too but then I've heard quite a lot of dance remixes of the BBC News theme on Youtube over the years.

In the year 2000 somebody would have made it into a UK #1 single, a la Oxide & Neutrino/Casualty.

Having said that, I also thought

in 2001 would smash but it ended up at #53
