Just remembered that blasted summer mix :drama: :(
Hopefully the thread is a little less dead this week :/ It's always a shame to see it be inactive especially when you take into consideration some of the active weeks we've had in the past. We just need to talk to each other more

Afternoon all! :hi:

That 2015 retro was pretty dire, 'Black Magic' and 'Are You With Me' are both pretty bad for starters BUT the biggest offender was the #1! :puke: Absolutely horrendous song which easily challenges for the worst of 2015.

Pretty cool number 1 there in 2011! Though 'Guilt' and 'Me & You' were both far superior for me. On the other hand, it is Rizzle Kicks' best song that is also in that top 10

That 'Hips Don't Lie' domination *.* Cannot believe that was 10 years ago :drama: Still one of my favourite songs of all-time and the crown jewel of Shakira's pretty strong discography.

Lmao at the 2001 #1! '21 Seconds' is a bit of a guilty pleasure. 'Castles in The Sky' is the best song in that top 10 though! *.* 7 weeks in the top 10 for that and then just 6 for the rest of its top 40 life.

That 1996 top 2!!!! *.* An absolute classic there in 'Wannabe'. Not my favourite Spice song but their signature song that always brings me joy. 'Macarena' is legitimately amazing even away from the dance, I stand by the fact that the production is brilliant. Finally - 'Born Slippy'

Missed the top 40 this week?

Biography

Ebba Tove Elsa Nilsson (born 29 October 1987), better known by stage name Tove Lo (/ˌtoʊvˈloʊ/ TOHV LOH, Swedish pronunciation: [ˈtuː'vɛ ˈluː]), is a Swedish singer and songwriter. She was born and raised in Djursholm, a suburb north of Stockholm, where she graduated from musical magnet school Rytmus Musikergymnasiet. Lo formed the Swedish rock band Tremblebee in 2006. Following the disbanding of Tremblebee, Lo pursued a career in songwriting and earned a publishing deal with Warner/Chappell Music in 2011. Working with producers Alexander Kronlund, Max Martin and Xenomania, Lo became a successful songwriter while she was recording and independently releasing her own compositions. In 2014, she was signed to Martin's songwriting collective Wolf Cousins and was offered a recording deal. She signed to Island and Polydor.

Lo rose to fame with the release of her debut Queen of the Clouds, which opened at number 14 on the U.S. Billboard 200 in October 2014. The album spawned the sleeper hit single, "Habits (Stay High)", which peaked at number three on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. In addition to her solo work, Lo has cowritten a number of songs for other singers, including Hilary Duff's "Sparks" and Ellie Goulding's "Love Me like You Do", which garnered her first Grammy Award nomination for the 58th Grammy Awards. She also was featured in Coldplay's "Fun" from A Head Full of Dreams.

Deemed "Sweden's darkest pop export" by Rolling Stone, Lo is known for her raw, grunge-influenced take on pop music. Her characteristically honest, complex and autobiographical lyrical content has led to Lo being dubbed "the saddest girl in Sweden" by a number of media sources. - Wikipedia

Doubtful Tove Lo made Top 40 but should be in Top 75 this week. Hopefully the song will go up the charts in coming weeks.
I don't remember that being the artwork for 'Swagger Jagger' (!)

Here today :cheer: Completely forgot they started late though!

Have absolutely no clue how this chart will turn out today, have no clue on how anyone did over the week for once!

Hey everyone! I'm back again for today's chart :P

1- PROMISES- Nero (46,700)

I always had the feeling Promises was a bit of a random number 1, wasn't it? :o

http://i67.tinypic.com/10onvyb.jpg

^ poor Cher

Help I misread the first word of 'Fussy City Planner' as something else and now feel impure.

Lmao at that though :') Better than the original artwork tbh. x
