Diane Parish has to be the most underrated actress in any soap right now, easily.
I can't believe a man actually said to Martin Fowler's daughter "you must be on the rag." Fucking hell is this the kind of stuff that goes on in EastEnders now?

Omg at Shirley's non-reaction to Spice Girls on the karaoke! Yaaaas at Sharon being behind the bar too!

Diane and Tameka were fantastic tonight. I loved Kim's reaction to realising Denise would be putting her baby up for adoption; not over the top, just real and from the year; and the last scene with Denise, with just little touches like the baby crying like that, was really stellar.

I was completely Team Babe when she put Whitney in her place.

Honey is about to claim the Queen of EE throne tho

Denise and Kim deserve so much more recognition - the whole family do!

Stacey's been giving Michelle loads of dirty looks, I'm telling ofcom...
Good episode! A lot of common sense being said, from Sharon talking to Phil about how blood isn't necessarily thicker than water and Denise telling it like it is to Phil, as well as sticking to her decision (for now at least). The thing I didn't like was when Sharon turned around and said to Phil that if he wanted his son, they'll fight for him - right after all that talk about how being a biological father doesn't necessarily make you a dad. I really hope Denise sticks to her plans instead of King Phil getting his way yet again and doormat Sharon standing by him.
I really enjoyed the episode as well! It was nice to see Charlie discussed and opens the potential for a return at some point.
I liked that bit too - Jack, after all, has no legal ties over Matthew so it needed to be addressed that Charlie could indeed take Matthew back just like that.
"bridge collapses on top of market traders" :o just kidding

It does seem like it will involve the market! Looks set to air near the end of Monday's episode with the immediate aftermath happening on the Tuesday, which clashed with Emmerdale.

The next three weeks will be set over two days! That must be running the likes of Charlie's death / Stacey's breakdown and Phil & Sharon's wedding close to most episodes set over such a short time scale.

The day of Kat finding out she had another son, Stacey had a breakdown, Charlie died and Sharon finding out Phil was responsible for the car accident (:drama:) was 8 episodes (4th January to 14th January) whilst Phil & Sharon's wedding and Linda's rape was 6 episodes (26th September - 6th October). 2 days being set across three weeks sounds like it will far succeed!

I actually really liked both sets of episodes and I think setting a day or two across such a long period of real time gets you as a viewer really involved. I know I was emotional exhausted from the January 2016 episodes (they were excellent at the same time, despite how bizarre the storylines on paper were).
