The women's wargames was excellent. Really enjoyed it and Finn v AJ and US triple threat also was very good too. About time Styles got a major win on a premium live event. Didn't realise it had been 3 years!

I've not seen the men's one yet as I switched off to watch later but I'm sure that was fab as well. Sami is the VIP lately.

Ronda and Shotzi's match however.... I like Shotzi but I do have to admit she's not too strong a competitor but she tried at least and a good spot onto Shayna but Ronda? What the hell is she on :/ her first run was quite enjoyable as well but she's come back to just not give a f*** basically. She's actually regressed majorly and needs to drop the title imo.

  • That he made racial remarks in a 2015 interview somewhere and hadn't apologised for them. Hulk's last appearance for WWE was in January for their Netflix debut and he was booed enormously.

Seen the mens Wargames now too and whilst I preferred the women's one, the storytelling with The Bloodline, Sami and KO is impeccable right now. Very splendidly planned out and put together. I can imagine The Usos v Sami and Kevin will probably happen near to or at Wrestlemania too.

This thread has gotten a bit dead with no one else replying but me then again I'm not as on the pulse seeing raw, SD all every week anyway

It's around 20 years ago now that I first started watching WWE with Rumble 03 being my first full PPV (premium live event) I saw.

Let's hope this year's Rumble is better than last year's anyhow. Seems like Finn and Edge are rumoured for a major themed match and Bray and LA Knight as well!

Maybe not as many people are watching WWE as a few years ago on here. I'm still watching it and I'm looking forward to the Royal Rumble and the road to Wrestlemania. It's annoying to see Charlotte Flair coming back and immediately winning the Smackdown Women's Championship but I guess Ronda Rousey's title reign wasn't really going well anyway. I thought maybe Charlotte would have come back at the rumble and won that match but maybe Rhea Ripley might do it instead, fully expect Cody Rhodes to win the Men's Royal Rumble match.

Tbf me Jon and Lee have had a Facebook group for years now so it's not like we aren't still discussing offline but some activity on here would do nicely but outside of the 4/5 of us there's not really anyone around now as two longtime posters in here haven't posted in a few years now.

Yeah I expect Rhea to win and I'd prefer her over Ronda, Becky or Bayley personally. Cody 100% has to win too.

Now that Mercedes is a free agent and taking wrestling bookings, I suspect I will be commenting more!

I will be watching the Rumble though, I love that event!

Money In The Bank will take place in the UK this year at the O2 Arena on Saturday July 1st. If Clash At The Castle is anything to go by this is very good news, UK crowds always bring a special atmosphere.
Not exactly related to WWE but ROH Tag Team Champion and one half of the Briscoe Brothers Jay Briscoe was involved in a fatal car accident. Only 38 years old. So tragic :(
Sad news about Jay Briscoe. I wasn't really familiar with him but I've heard his name before. Only a week before his 39th birthday as well.

Royal Rumble rating as it was a decent show overall!

Mens Rumble 9.5/10 - predictable but right winner and very neatly arranged throughout with storylines and good angles taking place.

Mountain Dew Lights Out Match 0/10 - WTF was that  was over before it started, was a mess and LA Knight barely got any offense or time in plus Uncle Howdy botching a big fall (although I'm not sure if that is meant to be deliberate or not...)

Raw Women's Title Match 5/10 - okay but a bit sluggish and the crowd weren't really into it either.

Women's Rumble - 7/10 Right winner, some good NXT picks. Could've done without bloody Nia Jax and I wished they used one legend or face from the past that's never been used but otherwise an solid match if quite sloppy.

Roman v KO Undisputed title match 10/10 - the match itself is actually a 9/10 but gets boosted to 10 for the aftermath. Sami finally had enough and the beatdown was gripping. Would it hurt to have Reigns do double duty at Wrestlemania?

It was a fantastic end to the Royal Rumble PPV with Sami Zayn turning on Roman Reigns and then getting kicked out of the bloodline. There was some great attention to detail with certain moments such as the way Roman Reigns got hit with the chair and fell to the mat in the exact same way as when The Shield broke up years ago, also the closing visual of Sami Zayn lying on the mat with the red petals all over him, then there was Jey Uso not getting involved in the beatdown of Sami after the tension that they previously had.

Looks like the rumour of Sami Zayn facing Roman Reigns at Elimination Chamber for the title in Sami Zayn's hometown might come true, it would be great if he could somehow face him at WrestleMania for the title but it's probably not going to happen.

As the for the PPV as a whole I thought the women's rumble match was better than the men's and the finish of that in particular was impressive. Gunther was the star of the men's rumble for me. The lights out match and the Raw women's title match were not very memorable and in terms of the lights out match felt pointless.

WWE CEO Nick Khan said that any concern about Vince McMahon staying with the company post-sale won't be a factor for potential buyers who see that as a detriment.

In the opening question of Thursday's investors call, LightShed Ventures' Brandon Ross speculated that the potential buyer universe for WWE would be impacted by McMahon's insistence to remain with the company post-sale.
