Did not see Courtney in the top 2 coming at all :o He doesn't seem all that strong, perhaps due to the way he conducts himself.

Alana on the other hand is brilliant so her to win!

Possibly the most one-sided final ever then? Alana is fantastic while Courtney is drab. Should have been Frances in the final, even if Lord Sugar couldn't have made it more obvious that he's going to pick Alana as the winner by putting her straight into the final before mulling over the others for ages.

Delighted for Alana, been cheering her on the most but I do actually think it was one of the strongest Final Fives in a while (impressive considering how dire everyone was at the start). I think it made a difference that they were all running their own businesses currently which I think is the first time that has happened? It shows that they are definitely in the process to expand their businesses rather than maybe going in just to hopefully get some cash from Lord Sugar and magically have a business appear. I'm sure last year they all went on You're Fired and said they're not pursuing their business ideas anymore which showed the lack of support that they individually had for their ideas. It means that, for the first time, I don't have any complaints that someone got so far with a shit business plan even though they were a strong candidate. Grianne's only problem was that it was too much at once, there would have been a good plan in their somewhere.

I really wanted to root for Jessica but all I have in my head is Helen Wood so I just have a BLOCK on her and it doesn't help when she's using very minor celebs of the same calibre as Helen for her business model.

Surely he can't pick Courtney over Alana though, taking into consideration both their plans and their personal qualities. Courtney is a a good designer but is a terrible pitcher and I can't see him as a leader. Alana may lack confidence but she lead the team very well in Week 3. Courtney's plan can be quite risky because some things do depend on luck, e.g. hoping something catches on, and even then you always get the copycats like Lord Sugar said.

If he does pick Courtney, that means he'll have 5 males business partners to one female and it'll be the second time he's turned down the cake business in the final 2. Praying for an Alana win!

Pretty sure Alana has got this in the bag. She's a good candidate with a strong plan. Courtney on the other hand is lacking in his personal qualities and probably poses a slightly bigger risk with his business. Lord Sugar has a history of playing it safe when investing in a winner, so I'm pretty sure he will go with the relatively safe option of Alana.

Jess: "People order stuff over the phone now more than on their laptop"

Karen: "............really."

I did chuckle at that! I do everything I can to not speak to people on the phone.

I think if he hadn't attacked her business skills in the final bit he might have stolen it.

Rightful winner, far better business and much better winning 'journey', she was quite unfairly picked on at various points in the process and definitely proved herself over the weeks. I am glad Courtney got the pitch right, he's not my favourite, but I do have a slight soft spot for him, I kinda see a bit of myself in him with his presentation issues.

I died at Karthik putting 'I'm ordering online' over that phone shot in Courtney's advert *_*

Very pleased with the winner. Her expressive face means I saw a lot of myself in Alana but mostly I'm pleased because she really is what this show is supposed to be about. A good compitent business person who grows and shows that they are a good all rounder with the skills and personality and drive to be successful

Imagine not knowing how to value Inventory. Everyone knows that IAS 2 says that you value stock at the lower of cost or Net Realisable value, using either First In First Out or weighted average for cost (but not LIFO).

I'm a qualified accountant and I couldn't tell you that. Thank f*** I'm a management accountant so can fanny about with budgets and strategy rather than actual financial accounts
