Posted September 27, 20168 yr As some people may have heard this morning England manager Sam Allardyce is facing questions over an supposed £400,000 deal and offered advice on how to deal with "FA rules" over player transfers regarding third-party ownership according to the Daily Telegraph. What do you think will happen to him? http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2016/09/26...rdyce-for-sale/
September 27, 20168 yr He'll probably get off, but he'll have that hanging over him for the whole time he's in the job (unlikely to be beyond his contract). Either that or they'll kick him out and he'll rejoin Sunderland as boss around Christmas time when Moyes is given the heave-ho.
September 27, 20168 yr Author Apparently he has been sacked not sure about evidence yet according to sources.
September 27, 20168 yr The evidence to me is pretty damning. I'm sure he will be leaving my mutual consent - it's farcical. Pure greed from Sam, but he's always been a dodgy guy as shown by the Panorama thing about 10 years ago. Apparently the Telegraph will be naming 10 other managers involved too (Sam Allardyce is probably the biggest fish). Steve Bruce to take over surely...
September 27, 20168 yr Well that didn't last long! But yeah his place was pretty untenable after that. Look forward to whoever comes in next & plays exactly the same way in the next qualifier.
September 27, 20168 yr This is actually hilarious. What a complete dipshit. Fair play to the FA for acting so swiftly.
September 27, 20168 yr http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/37483344 Just read about it, ha... good riddance, hopefully now we get a decent manager, shortest ever England Manager
September 27, 20168 yr So Sunderland have ended up with David Moyes for nothing? that is well and truly peak!
September 27, 20168 yr England will play Malta a week on Saturday, should walk it even without a manager, but I reckon Gareth Southgate will get in, I would prefer Steve Bruce.
September 28, 20168 yr The FA really love Southgate. Don't get me wrong, I think he's a smart choice for the interim as there is at least that bit of consistency with him being involved i the England set up. But as a long term choice, it doesn't really fill me with up confidence.
September 28, 20168 yr Author In today's Telegraph- eight unnamed Premier League managers have been accused of taking bungs.
September 28, 20168 yr So Sunderland have ended up with David Moyes for nothing? that is well and truly peak! Exactly, although I think there was some compensation paid. But they're really struggling now after what became a very short pre-season. Should really pay more out in compensation if Sunderland go down this year.
September 28, 20168 yr Exactly, although I think there was some compensation paid. But they're really struggling now after what became a very short pre-season. Should really pay more out in compensation if Sunderland go down this year. Sunderland haven't won a Premier League match in August or September for several seasons, so this season is simply going according to type at the moment.
September 28, 20168 yr As a Sunderland fan I can't help but view this as Karma. However this Life of Brian parody did make me chuckle. https://www.facebook.com/www.JOE.co.uk/vide...08189882678414/
September 28, 20168 yr Big Sam is an absolute moron and quite TOXIC at times but I actually feel bad for him. This is not good journalism, it's not exposing anything, it's just a tacky sting. He didn't even break the rules and in the quotes they elected to print only at the end of the article, even warned against doing so quite firmly. He doesn't deserve this.
September 28, 20168 yr I'm sure the Telegraph had good reason to think that Allardyce would fall for their sting. They wouldn't just go ahead and try it without thinking there was a very good chance that they would get a story out of it.
