The Story Of Tracy Beaker
(2002-2005)

Sing it! "BAH-DAM-DAM-DO-DO-DO-DO-DO-DO-DO-DODO-DO-DO-DODO-DO-DO" How could we not start this countdown with the most iconic CBBC show in terms of the Buzzjack era?! Tracy Beaker has become a household name during her stint(s) on CBBC during the early 2000's and 2010's.

Briefly, the show followed a troubled foster child (Tracy) who basically lived in a fantasy world waiting for her MEGA SUCCESSFUL(1111!!!!11) HOLLYWOOD STAR of a mum to come and take her home from the "dumping ground." (Spoiler: the closest she got to Hollywood was as a stunt double when she decked it off of a horse in the movie) The show see's Tracy develop relationships and friendships with those around her, focusing particularly on her friendship with a lonely writer called Cam, who FINALLY ends up adopting her after constantly being fostered and sent back throughout the original 5 seasons. I swear, Tracy was taken back to the care home more times than Peter Andre has done reality tv... Anyway, there were some characters in the "dumping ground", especially the HBIC Justine Littlewood and her massive tv!!!1

Don't even get me started on the horrendous spin-off show "Tracy Beaker Returns"... The less said about that, the better!

Now, we cannot talk about Tracy Beaker without touching upon the rise of a true icon. One who would take the fashion world by storm, one who would be seen all around the world dancing on TV at a concert with Layla and Dolly, one who would be so useless, that you just couldn't help but feel sorry for the hopeless woman.

QUEEN ELAINE THE PAIN.

Also, can we talk about that time they called Dani Harmer the UK's Miley Cyrus in the music industry?

Well a remarkably strong start here *.* When I think of my childhood, Tracy Beaker is one of the things that instantly comes to mind. About 10 years ago I was obsessed with all things Jacqueline Wilson and of course the TV show and movie too! I even used to buy the Tracy Beaker magazine lmao, goals. But yeah the show was just incredibly entertaining and always a laugh. There were lots of interesting characters and fun plots. I rewatched all the pre-Tracy Beaker Returns (I agree with you that Tracy Beaker Returns was pretty naff and not a patch on what came before it!) episodes last summer and was reminded of how iconic this show was.

Oh, I also remember CBBC had an interview with Hayley and Marco after the show one day and I tried to record it on a video tape and ended up breaking the machine because the tape got jammed

(2002-2004)

Let's be honest, this is one of the most frustrating things you have ever watched on CBBC, EVER. I actually feel that this show was aimed more at young adults that children, although I guess CBBC is for 'young adults' since Cbeebies is there for the younger ones. I'm not going to lie, I cannot really remember much about this show, but I remember being addicted to it when it was on. If I can recall, we were allowed to vote for the ending of the show and were given 3 options which was pretty cool (I just looked this up now and I was right, slay) I also remember there was some blonde bitch who compalined the whole time whilst they were 'filming' (it was done to look like they were the camera men in a kind of documentary / home movie kind of way).

Ok I am screaming at the actor who plays David being Deek from River City

Anyway, the main plot of this (from memory) is that some school kids go around the world in search of Aliens, however one by one each member of the group began to disappear. Actually I have just had a google at this and I am shocked to see that there are 3 series'! I thought it was just one big long series! :o

Anyway, for those of you who are interested, I will put the first episode below, it is not as funny / laid-back as other CBBC shows, but it is definitely worth all the hype it received when it was on

jeopardy is such a trigger!! i remember the ending being voted for by the viewers and being rly frustrated by it

such a good show tho
