YAS sack Jenny Fisher, the reason we don’t get Rihanna...

Jenny Fisher isn't the reason we don't get Rihanna anymore. Rihanna is the reason we don't get Rihanna anymore. Rihanna wouldn't even give the rights of "Work" to the Grammy's for the 2017 Grammy album.

Stop going round in circles about Jenny Fisher vs Adele & Rihanna.

From next year, they should start releasing 4 NOWs a year instead of 3 like in America and release them at the first Friday of each season for eg. NOW 99 2nd March, NOW 100 1st June, NOW 101 7th September and NOW 102 7th December
And why "should" they do that? Especially when there are less songs becoming hit singles per year now than ever? And when album sales are declining?
You could have no New no.1s between those releases, could you actually cope, Hadji?

Releasing one as late as 7th December would be a commercial misstep as it would only have two and a half weeks of Xmas gifting sales to mop up.

Germany’s Bravo Hits release four a year, in February, May, July and October (and then a Best Of the year featuring the winter hits and the smashes from the rest of the year is released in November).

I don’t think there’s any need for four as these are often full of flops as well as the few smash hits that happen between volumes.

Too much of a good thing also dilutes a brand, and god knows Now are already doing a fine job of that with the spin-offs, save for the odd inspired one like Now Country.

As long as they’re kept up to date, I’d be cool with no number ones. For instance when it got knocked down to two a year, some songs should’ve been on the previous edition eg. “Sailing On The Seven Seas” and “Joyride” both appearing on NOW 20 in November 1991 when they were released before NOW 19 in March 1991

Decided to compile a very very early version of one of the discs for the upcoming volume Now 99 likely due for release in April 2018.

1. Ed Sheeran – Shape Of You (at long last he’s given the rights for this to be featured)

2. Rak-Su feat. Wyclef Jean & Naughty Boy – Dimelo

3. Camila Cabello – Never Be The Same

4. James Arthur – Naked

5. Sam Smith – One Last Song

6. P!nk – Beautiful Trauma

7. NF – Let You Down

8. Ramz – Barking

9. Stormzy feat. MNEK – Blinded By Your Grace, Pt 2

10. Post Malone – I Fall Apart

11. Dave feat. Mostack – No Words

12. Lil Pump – Gucci Gang

13. Not3s & Mabel – My Lover (Remix)

14. RAYE & Mr Eazi – Decline

15. Jason Derulo feat. French Montana – Tip Toe

16. Craig David feat. Bastille – I Need You

17. David Guetta & Afrojack feat. Charli XCX & French Montana – Dirty Sexy Money

18. Jax Jones feat. Ina Wroldsen – Breathe

19. Portugal. The Man – Feel It Still

20. Tom Walker – Leave A Light On

21. Paloma Faith – Guilty

22. Elbow – Golden Slumbers

23. Katie Melua – Fields Of Gold

I will be very surprised if Gucci Gang gets included in a NOW compilation.

I'd love NOW Year CDs from 1983-2017. I don't mind if they're budget CDs and aren't that inspired, but it'd be an improvement on those spin-offs
The US may get 4 albums but they only put enough to fill one disc on their CDs and even then they try to include unknown tracks billed as the "next big thing" so we do still get more songs than them.

The best yearly CDs they did was the 10th anniversary editions and the millennium editions. Mind you if they did that again, it will be filled with Sony and warner artists

Not sure if it's true but read a press report, some local paper or other saying Now Christmas has sold 4.4 million to become the UK'S 6th best selling album of all time. Later in the article it says one of the spin-off albums supporting Now 100 will be called Now That's What I Call Now.
I think they are counting all versions of it which must be nearing 10 by now.

Yes they are, right from the original LP and tape in 1988 through all single, double and triple CD releases. Was reported on Sky News too saying it's easily the best selling compilation album ever in the UK now. I meant I thought Now That's What I Call Now seems an odd title, unless it's a mistake.

I think every household must own an edition of NOW Xmas. I own three

NOW That's What I Call NOW? I wonder if they'll do what Bravo Hits are doing and release a 5 Disc Spin-Off.

"We’re planning to re-release Now 1 with a special edition called Now That’s What I Call NOW! which will have one track from every Now album. The question is how do we choose the best 100 songs in NOW history? Should we ask the public?"

yes!!

I hope it's not just every song that was Track 1, Disc 1. Imagine, all these classic songs and then... Curtain Falls by Blue.

If it's not, I hope Heaven still gets the nod for Now 53.

Apparently it might go to a public vote, which is obviously open to manipulation and may result in a crap collection (awaits the public picking No Way No Way for Now 39).

Maybe the Now song people or whatever will pick like 5 songs from each Now for the public to choose from. 100 individual polls with roughly 42 choices is... extravagant
