October 18, 20168 yr Author i've only been exposed to just dance onwards. for the stans who have delved into what she was like beforehand sure it looks like a regression but to the general public i feel it is looking v contrived and off putting. again i think it comes to wether the music is able to back everything else up and for me this era its not which is a shame because she's actually one of my favourite artists and i was willing perfect illusion to be a fluke. Ok I fully get you now (and this is how the majority of people will see it I guess). Yeah pre-Just Dance was very rocky and ballad-y and shouty and gritty but if you don't know any of that and only have Just Dance to compare it too then I guess it can be seen as too far a transformation from what she was. This album is a definite return to that early sound though with slight twists throughout. It's fair enough if you don't enjoy it, many won't - certainly for me it's the weakest album she's done to date by FAR too, oops. I'm the sort of stan that can't hate on her for choosing to release this type of music. I'm far too invested in her as a person to constantly will her to release the same types of music over and over again just to remain on top. I mean, I certainly wish the music was stronger too whatever genre she did but I do still enjoy this album so I haven't abandoned hope yet. It was painful watching her during the ARTPOP era where you can tell she was being pulled in 15 different directions and lashed out against everything and everyone - considering that, this era is a healing for her and a time where she can regain some normality in her life both musically and personally. I'm personally here for that.
October 18, 20168 yr DO IT FOR JUSTICE!! This!! Live version is SO MUCH BETTER JAKE153!!LISTEN TO THAT LIKE I WAS SAYIN ALL ALONGGG!!
October 18, 20168 yr She is over. Her career trajectory is now for tiny shows etc but thag's ok. She has accepted it and released a country album with a cover like that and is calling herself irrelevant. We should accept it and just like or dislike the music.
October 19, 20168 yr I actually really like this track! Much better than PI and even MR. Am I the only one? :D

I'm personally here for that. I don't think it's contrived. I think we all knew she would show us the *real Stefani* at some point, but perhaps not so soon. I just don't think the music is good enough to compensate the change.
October 19, 20168 yr A lot of people love Gaga for her pop sensibitlies and theatrics. It's sad to see that go. Whilst Gaga has been experimenting (ageing herself) with jazz and country music, Beyoncé has released two era defining visual albums. She literally gave us Artpop without all the pretense. And then we got Joanne. It hurts my head.
October 19, 20168 yr This is incredible, by far my favourite on the album and keeps growing. It reminds me of if Taylor released Shake It Off in the Red era instead of 1989 musically, but equally it would kinda be weird if anyone else sang it
October 19, 20168 yr And this tweet: @ladygaga #AYO @TheChainsmokers maybe u guys'll like this 1 better ✌️️🚬🚬🚬🚬#NowPlaying Apple: http://smarturl.it/A-YO.ap Spotify: http://smarturl.it/A-YO.sp http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v232/korn0818/3e5dbfe7-1.gif http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v232/korn0818/ATRLSmilies/rip_zpsec10ede9.gif
October 19, 20168 yr It was a hack. Guys calm down my account was hacked. I would NEVER tweet anything like that to one of my friends. It was nevertheless hilarious.
October 19, 20168 yr Author OH! @drewtaggart is a Chainsmokers member?? I GET IT NOW  What a mess http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v232/korn0818/ATRL_Smilies_All/faces/toofunny3_zps08814413.gif
October 19, 20168 yr Who hacked what I'm confused? I think someone hacked Halsey  As if she'd call Gaga an icon or idol
October 19, 20168 yr Author ^ (o )(o ) Lmao this is already dropping on iTunes. A complete flop even for a promo single. She cannot follow through with this being a proper single. 'Million Reasons' will overtake it again (and is showing very good stability since its release) - go with that! It's the safest option.
October 19, 20168 yr :/ at all of this. I don't exactly hate it but I definitely don't love it - I can't imagine I'll be bothering with the album, maybe a quick stream on Spotify but I imagine that will be about it.
October 19, 20168 yr I quite like this, I have only heard it a couple of times but it is interesting and it is different for her.
