Yeah, bizarrely it wasn't included on any of the main playlists this year. On Christmas Eve the Spotify caption was 'One more sleep...' but none of the playlists underneath included the song. Last year it was on more of the playlists and peaked at 27 on spotify.

What a tease!

It's a real shame, I actually made my own playlist to play around the house yesterday/during dinner etc purely because I couldn't find One More Sleep on any of the curated alternatives.

Yeah but wouldn't one more sleep be more popular Christmas Eve over Christmas Day

Thanks for doing the update, Dan :D

All the number of streams have changed too..?

The numbers are still the same for me, what website are you using to view streams?

Hold on... why has the top 50 suddenly changed and lots of Xmas songs have gone??

Don't panic :D

Everything is the same. https://spotifycharts.com/regional/gb/daily/latest

Maybe accidently you clicked on the date and changed it :D

It's nice to see the best glee Christmas cover so high bit bizarre that it's the only one that's streamed so muc though
good to see Lily Allen becoming a festive staple, it certainly sounds good at Christmas despite it not being written originally for that purpose.

Good grief NO. :puke: It needs to die and never be heard of ever again.

Interesting to see Feliz Navidad doing so well on streaming. It's been around for years, but this is the first year I've heard it a lot on radio on Christmas. Perhaps the globalization of Spotify has helped to give it a platform over here?

I think Feliz Navidad is on the big Spotify playlists, I'd personally never heard of it before Spotify but it's a very good song, so must be a lot of people discovering it this way making it a future festive staple!
Phenomenal figure for Last Christmas, makes you wonder how many streams it would have generated had George Michael's death been announced during the morning.

It also seemed to do well on iTunes this year too.

I'd love to see where George Michael and Wham! tracks will fare in tomorrow's update
He must be out of his mind removing this song, people want to hear it today of all days and it is streaming that got him the highest chart position after all.

Did he give a reason? Is he sick of it and wants to be remembered for other songs or a payments dispute with Spotify?

Why not just wait two days and then remove it seems silly to alienate so many people who have given you a hit record 30 years after first release.

I suspect it's not so much a case of him taking it off as of a deal to put it on expiring. If he licensed it for a set number of year that obviously would have started just before Christmas and so if not renewed it would expire then too. Remember that most of his catalogue has never been available to stream at all, nor even to download.

Lol it'll be interesting to see as she peaked at 500k streams last Xmas day and is on 750k for Xmas eve so far with today's streams possibly higher - goodness knows what she will be on in 2019!

Her chart position this week will be interesting, still could be top 20/30?

Given how huge Mariah's streaming has been, if the chart was announced on Christmas Day, with all all streams upto and including Christmas Eve eligible for the chart, how high would she have charted?

Scott Mills has been playing Feliz Navidad on his radio 1 show for years!

#kobbar

Is 896k streams in a day a new record? Great figure, strange not too see Mariah at #1 and the The Pogues joining them in the Top 2 (although isn't 'Last Christmas' usually the second most streamed Christmas song?).
BBC1 have a change of programming tomorrow night at 10pm a tribute documentary to George Michael
