March 22Mar 22 Author Recently, Zanmatony decided to take part in the very first Buzzverse Lottery, picking a number at random, and waiting to find out the unique challenge we were faced with to find a suitable entry to meet a unique theme. The theme selected was broad, and era specific, for we were tasked with finding an entry from a year ending in '0' from any decade. We went back some 26 years to the year 2000 and found an early trance piece that we were pleased to have representing us for this inaugural spin-off contest. A very respectable top half finish was achieved, taking 17th place. Here were Zanmatony's votes for this contest;+18 4hero & Carina Andersson – Les Fleur {Lookylion} [15th]+15 Archive – Collapse/Collide {Rolloland} [1st]+13 Probspot – Blueberry {Zephyra Continuum} [21st]+12 Sefa & Dr. Peacock – Trip To Serbia {Ennea} [7th]+11 DJ Quicksilver – I Have A Dream {Bøtanikkä} [27th]+10 Witches' Rune – Twilight {Summericia} [3rd]+9 Chloé Caillet & Luke Alessi feat. April 1Apr 1 I had to give this another listen anyway but with the video this time given some of the complimentary comments and I have to say that's some extremely impressive visual accompaniments to an already incredible song! Gutted I wasn't able to provide support, really thought this would have been a safe qualifier. Rarely has a song struck such a chord with me on my initial listen, it really gives off "Parmi Les Mortels" vibes. And you can add this one to my bank of aforementioned hyberbolic statements!

April 13Apr 13 Author The longest qualification streak in Zanmatony's history came to an end this month, as after 10 consecutive qualifiers, we bowed out at the semi-final stage with a loud piece of energetic, electronic music together with a custom made music video to go with it. As with many of Zanmatony's entries, it was an experiment, and this time it didn't connect with as many people. These were the votes cast for the Semi Final of BJSC 183;+12 World's First Cinema – First Cinema {Ennea} [DID NOT QUALIFY]+10 Ziyad Al-Samman – Ziyad Al {FSR Rontvia} [QUALIFIED]+8 Cult Of Venus – Sinner {Bronzil} [QUALIFIED]+7 Neuroticfish – We Are {Deandria} [QUALIFIED]+6 Nekrogoblikon feat. In fact, none of the podium finishers appeared in our votes this time around. With no qualification streak to uphold, the stage is set for a comeback to edge closer to a place in a BJSC final again.

May 23May 23 Author Later than planned, here is a belated writeup following Zanmatony's non-qualification during BJSC 184. Unfortunately, votes were not cast by the Zanmatonese delegation in their respective semi final, and as such a penalty was applied to the scores. This however did not change the ultimate outcome, as the entry still would not have achieved enough points to progress. No Semi Final votes were cast for BJSC 184.However, here are the votes cast in the Final;+18 Charlotte MacInnes – Struck {Zephyra Continuum} [1st]+15 Leprous – The Flood {The Spodic Empire} [22nd]+13 KOMPROMAT feat. These votes ensured that no ban was applied to Zanmatony for the following contest.
