I'd be shocked if it was anything other than 'Say Something Loving'. There's some really great tracks on this album but, other than 'On Hold', they don't have that instant single-quality status like 'Say Something Loving' does.

I think Dangerous sounds quite anthemic and could be huge! SSL sort of sound similar to their other stuff good as it is!

Finally giving this a proper listen. It's nothing really unexpected from them but still gorgeous enough to melt all of my emotions. Definitely potential to be up there with RTJ3 as best album of the yr so far.

They were SO GOOD live last night  'Say Something Loving', 'Islands', 'On Hold', 'Loud Places' (the crowd went mad for this one!), 'Intro' and 'Angels' were my ultimate highlights  Plus they did a mash-up of 'Chained' with 'Sweet Like Chocolate' which was all kinds of amazing. Would definitely recommend <3

Sorry for triple posting :kink: but it's here!

Simple but effective as they often do so well. <3 Nice to see them having a laugh right at the very end as well  I hope this can do something but their post-album singles usually don't. At least it already has a #60 peak from album release week!

omg it's the new single. Perfect. Seeing them on Monday can't waaaait.

Ah so 'Say Something Loving' is indeed the next single! Very happy about that; it's perhaps even more single-friendly than 'On Hold', yet it still feels very much like a song from The xx. I suspect it will get strong Radio 1 support and I hope that'll boost it back into the Top 100, even if it doesn't better its #60 peak from album release week.

'Dangerous' to be the next single (and I imagine it probably will be) so that we can say The xx received 3 Top 75 singles from one album! :D

Oh I've never posted in this thread yet :magic:

This is another great album from them, feels like a real progression from the first 2 albums with a lot more of the influence from Jamie xx's solo work. My favourite track aside from the 2 singles would have to be 'A Violent Noise', stunning song, sounded brilliant live as well  (have a good time on Monday Joe!!) 'Dangerous' and 'I Dare You' are brilliant as well, I don't think any more of their singles will make much impact but I hope at least one of them gets a release ('Dangerous' seems like the most likely).

Finally got round to buying this today - on vinyl, of course. Such a beautiful package; I love the little message on the inner sleeve where you have to use the other mirrored side of the sleeve to read it. Was quite surprised to see a CD fall out the sleeve too, I suppose that is meant to be in there?

The guy at the counter was talking to me about The xx and it turns out we share the exact same sentiments towards the band - we couldn't really get into much of their earlier stuff but were pleasantly surprised to find ourselves really loving the music on this album.

Deluxe version of the album is out today with 3 additional songs:

Naive

Seasons Run

Brave For You (Marfa Demo)

I Dare You has been chosen as the 3rd official single and has already been playlisted by Radio 1

These bonus tracks were a welcome surprise! I heard 'Seasons Run' following the R1 first play the other day and it sounded gorgeous. This era is the gift that keeps on giving *.* Also, I really thought they would choose 'Dangerous' as the next single but 'I Dare You' also seems like a logical choice, so no complaints here, especially as it's one of the album highlights for me
