FYI, Olly Murs' album sold 4.7k yesterday and Emeli's sold 4.2k. Robbie's album falls 1-7 but could work its way back into the Top 5.

What are the chances of all 3 being in the top 20 by the end of the week?

Looks like Olly has the #1 tied up then. That's an unexpected drop for Robbie's album :o

I'd say Olly would normally be a little more frontloaded than Emeli, but the timing of his X Factor performance should nab him that #1.

Emeli though...How the mighty have fallen, I think months back, people would have expected at least a 100k opening for her.

I reckon most of those climbers that climb into the 40 within the top 75, they could just fall a couple of places as the week go on.

But that climb for Rae :o is a bit too much for an awful track.

I can't deny that I love Black Beatles (I loved No Type too), so I'm here for this being a hit.

Ok but something is not quite adding up then because it was reported yesterday that gap was 7k approx and now today gap is 6.4k approx.

A little hard to explain if Olly sold more yesterday (unless the previous totals from the Daily Star were very approximate).

I'm actually rather surprised at how much Emeli has sold. Considering that to those who aren't huge fans of hers she might as well have dropped off the face of the earth post 2013, I think she's done well to shift 30k in a few days. Especially seeing as though there's no huge single to boost the album.

As much as this is a fall from grace so-to-speak, I think we shouldn't count her out just yet. She has potential in abundance to sell ice to an Eskimo. Honestly, TV programmes love her, radio eat her up, and she's constantly being featured on songs. She knows her demographic and plays to that... how else would her debut have sold SO DAMN MUCH?

If you think about Jessie J and Ellie Goulding for example, their second albums initially underperformed EVEN with relatively big singles to push them yet they're still successful to this day; Halcyon even went on the become Ellie's biggest selling album to date. And obviously with Christmas coming up, I'm sure *a lot* of people will be buying this as a gift for their family and friends etc.

Four years ago, people were buying albums, times have changed and a few more buying outlets have disappeared since than. I do think the Top 3 albums were selling more in the past, they seem to be declining every time now during the quarter 4 period, mind you last year we had Adele pushing big numbers.

I'm starting to like that Rae Sremmurd track now, so that's a good addition to the top ten.

Not a fan of most of the new entries but it's good to see the chart getting a shakeup so hopefully they stay in. Good to see Nevada cracking the top 40 this week.

60k or so for Emeli isn't great and definitely underwhelming but it's no disaster by any means.

She should manage to shift at least 300k up until Christmas I would imagine and she still can push some more singles. Radio would eat up 'High & Low' over the Spring for instance.

Can see a total of around 400-500k in the end which in this climate and after a 4 year break isn't that bad.

If Adele manages some Promotion in December she could probably secure the Christmas Number 1 Album (given the Sales under-performance of recent comebacks).

"25" is back on the climb all ready (up to 26) probably on the back of people starting to buy Christmas presents.

Tour seems to end on November 21st (a rearranged date that was postponed due to illness - take note Tove Lo, that's how you treat your fans) and December looks clear - BBC Music Awards in December looks a guaranteed (even though she is not yet confirmed for event).

I can't see all of those remaining top 40 especially The XX & possibly Robbie too unless his streams pick up & i expect he'll slip out of top 10 by the end of the week. Could well have the CHART SAVIOUR enter though *____* Love Me Now is top 40 on Spotify now & climbing inside the top 50 on iTunes!
She passes 100k in Q1 and won't pass 100k in Q4 and how he's ahead of her? On iTunes, she's been #1 the whole time so I reckon she'll get #1 on album downloads. Still unfair that he's beating someone who's a bigger name than he is

I think Robbie will easily stay top 40, as he's top 5 on iTunes.

The xx and Zara Larsson will definitely miss out though. Can't see John Legend making it this week either, he's not even top 50 in the mids.

The report from yesterday was for Friday sales, the one for today will also include Saturday sales as well as those from yesterday.

I think people are being too harsh on Emeli.

The long gap between albums has probably had an effect but I can see her being a consistent seller upto Christmas.

She's one of those artists that is a very easy Christmas present to give, I think her sales will hold up pretty well.

Nobody is saying it's bad, but her last album went 7x platinum, was the highest selling album of 2012, almost the highest selling album of 2013 too! It spawned lots of hit singles.

It's not like this up hasn't had big radio support and decent promo, it's had both. The singles have under-performed and the album, whilst selling, isn't doing as well as I imagine her record label would have predicted. Olly's popularity has greatly decreased over the past 2 years and I don't think anyone expected him to beat her in the album chart.

3 Cliff Richard - Just...Fabulous Rock N Roll (24.2k)

A welcome return for Sir Cliff. He is on "Loose Women" tomorrow on ITV so should maintain his sales.
