Position aside though I’m sure the album will be her best yet and the sales will probably be her biggest yet at least in the UK.

I'm pretty sure Nicki couldn't pose a real threat to Ariana in 2018.

In the US, I think it will be a close one. Ariana has never had a massive first-week US sales tally but with NTLTC having gone top 5 this time, she could probably contend with 200k. Nicki might come down from her last album so i’m thinking around 200k for her too.

 

Nicki doesn’t hold a candle to Ariana in the UK though.

The Light Is Coming literally grew on me just now. Still hate the shouting in the background and that won't change.

I’m actually surprised with how non eventful this era seems. I can’t help but think ‘God Is A Women’ has almost killed a fair amount of hype for the album. It’s doing okay on UK Spotify but it’s rather low on USA Spotify, very low on airplay and low on iTunes.

 

I honestly expected her biggest era to date following ‘One Last Time’ and Manchester, I do still think the album will go to number one, just not with the sales or the steadyness I expected!

I think she's absolutely fine in terms of being set up for a pretty big era. To my mind, 'God is a Woman' is a success for her and I'm sure she can get post-album hits.

God is a Woman is not everyone cup of tea But I'm sure the album will be great and will do great .
