:kink:

Mariah has the edge with streaming because it was a worldwide hit I would say :)
Mariah, very easily. It's everything a Christmas song should be.

Mariah is clearly the uk favourite

Sales wise maybe, but I wouldn't call that a strictly true statement overall ;o http://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertai...ng-9896211.html + they won a similar televised poll back in 2012

I'd actually argue that the Pogues is the definitive UK and Ireland Christmas song, in the sense it's appeal is generally exclusive here, I doubt this poll would even be a contest worldwide.

The Pogues

And there isn't any creepy looking kids in it.

On 2:37-2:38 of the video.

I hate it when this topic comes up because I love both. I feel in recent years I've gone off each one a little because this war goes on every year and they're always the highest charters every year. I chose Mariah because it sound a bit more Christmassy to me but I also love the Pogues.

Considering that Mariah is only seven votes ahead of The Pogues at this early stage, I think it's safe to say The Pogues are the MORAL WINNERS of This poll *.*
I really enjoy both of these, neither are the best Christmas songs but they both are entirely different and have their own festive qualities. I think I PREFER 'Fairytale of New York', but it depends on what mood I'm in really!

That's an excellent post actually the fact they are such opposites and show both sides of Xmas is maybe why they both do so well each year in Britain!

Lol at the convo I got started by bumping this up!!
