Yet another DREADFUL poster. The trailers have all been fab but they need to sort out the poster department of the marketing team

That's one of the worst things I've ever seen!! I think I read somewhere that Sony are the ones in charge of all the marketing which possibly makes sense.

They're really honing in on the fact that the actor playing Spidey is actually someone around the correct age, aren't they?

I kinda like it tbh. The other posters irritate me due to how photoshopped/glossy they look!

Really enjoyable, fun, Superhero flick! Tom just IS Spiderman  He really plays the character perfectly! Michael Keaton was so menacing when

he finds out who Peter really is! The whole car scene had me on edge!

Zendaya f***ing SLAYED her very minimalistic role though. She has an even bigger future ahead of her! Overall I thought Vulture

was a very poor baddie though. Him turning bad seemed really random and although Michael was menacing, his "attacks" seemed quite tame to me.

But apart from that and maybe a bit randomly paced at times, it was a very worthy entry into the MCU. I give it 8 out of 10. Maybe 8.5! It's entertaining enough to keep you gripped and the characters are really endearing and likeable!

Absolutely loved this. A huge step up from the incredibly disappointing Guardians 2 and the Andrew/Emma Spider-Man films. It was just very clever. It felt like a Spider-Man film, but it didn't feel like a total rerun of the same material, it was really clever how they weaved it into the MCU/Avengers universe but still kept it feeling insular to the smaller Spider-Man world. The final battle was a tad disappointing in terms of scale en excitement but there was plenty of other great action.

Loved! I'd put it at about Ant Man.

Had a really great time seeing this and I think it probably is my favourite Spidey film yet (and also the best Peter Parker yet!), the humour and also high-school setting really worked - It was so great to see Peter Parker feel like an actual high-school student and I love the scenarios like house parties and homecoming that stemmed from that  My favourite gags were Peter staring at Michael Keaton at his house when he's taking pictures and the Cap education videos  All of the other characters were great too, Aunt May was lovely (and I loved the note that the movie ended on!!),

the Gwyneth Paltrow

cameo!! and I did think the Vulture's character design made him look really cool (although I agree with Jonjo that his reason for being evil seemed poorly explained - hopefully they'll develop the character more in the future seeing as it looks like he'll be coming back :cheer:)

I adored the final post-credits scene too with Cap, I wasn't even mad because the humour was so spot-on !

To be honest I don't rate this very highly, it had its bad points and good points, with nothing else to add. I think this is going to fall very flat at the box office, since Wonder Woman has taken big numbers already, and probably the Justice League movie is going to storm it at the end of the year.

Well, it's doing big things at the Box Office atm...
I really enjoyed this, definitely one of the better Marvel movies. I thought they got the setting, casting and just general vibe on point. It was a really funny film with a lot of heart. Got to say I disagree completely about the villain comments. While he was not as menacing as some other villains, he was certainly a lot more fleshed out. You understood his motives. I don't think he was evil he was just trying to support his family and make money.

Just watched this - I always cringe at American teenagers in films like that so definitely not my fave. That end-of-credits sequence (

Captain America

) was the highlight though
