February 11, 20178 yr Ed Sheeran says that Adele is the only artist within the past 10 years to outsell him. Is this true? I think so, yes, certainly in the UK for albums.
February 14, 20178 yr Yep he just confirmed it on twitter ffs. He knew SOY was dying so quickly releases something!
February 15, 20178 yr Yep he just confirmed it on twitter ffs. He knew SOY was dying so quickly releases something!Instant Grats are a thing now... so it's not because of SOY "dying" at all. It might not even be a single lmao.
February 15, 20178 yr Confirmed to be just an instant grat: Ed Sheeran @edsheeran 28m28 minutes ago How Would You Feel (Paean) comes out tomorrow at midnight wherever you are in the world, its not the next single, but is one of my favzzzzz
February 15, 20178 yr (wait, grat's are eligible to chart aren't they?) (and can you buy them standalone just as you would do a single?) Edited February 15, 20178 yr by mdh
February 15, 20178 yr (wait, grat's are eligible to chart aren't they?) (and can you buy them standalone just as you would do a single?) They are eligible! You can buy them standalone but it will automatically appear on the album for people who have pre-ordered the album. For that reason I can't see it going to number 1!
February 15, 20178 yr Yep he just confirmed it on twitter ffs. He knew SOY was dying so quickly releases something! In what way is 'Shape Of You' dying??
February 16, 20178 yr I'm shocked at how unoriginal this sounds. It makes SOY and Castle sound like total masterpieces in comparison.
February 16, 20178 yr Oh, so this is the track where he attempts to recreate Thinking Out Loud...right down to the similar production and being track 11 on the album  Wise move to showcase three very different sounds from the album but yes, it is very derivative. I suspect it will become his next classic million-selling love song though, and it's pretty clear that he wrote it exactly for that purpose. It's pleasant though. February 17, 20178 yr It's "nice" but that's all. Strong filler imo. It really doesn't sound much like a hit at all. Well maybe if this was the 90's, but I really can't imagine it now. TOL had much more to it. A lot more power and a hook that catches! Hopefully this dies off towards the end of the week, once those that have ordered the album have got their copies or whatever.
