Pre-orders don't appear on the iTunes chart/feed anymore. So that wouldn't be why the choir are ahead. I haven't seen any dedicated social media for the song, which could be why? The London Hospices Choir has quite a small but significant following on social media. Not to mention that London has a larger population than Jo Cox's constituency, so that could be a factor?*

If I remember correctly, the NHS choir last year didn't have much of a following either. I'm guessing it'll be a battle of publicity via the news and other media which'll determine the charity song battle.

Certainly an interesting chart week this week!

*It won't have much to do with overall sales in the grand scheme of things but may explain why there's a couple hundred more people downloading the London Hospice Choir right away. They're only separated by a small amount of sales anyway, for now.

From these early updates I still think CB could do it, if they remain steady.

Definitely an exciting week that's for sure.

Just downloaded 'Rockabye' because might as well lmao.

Jo Cox being only like the 4th highest charity single at this stage is not really a good start. I was never quite sure why the bookies switched from having London Hospices Choir as the favourite in the first place, based on this I'm guessing if there is gonna be a charity #1 it's gonna be that...

*places another bet*

Okay having heard the new Chris Brown song it won't be a hit.
Hospices Choir in dark red after just 6 hours... I know it's the middle of the night so it doesn't mean much but I've never seen a song decline this quickly after release.
Hooray!!!!!!!! Zaylor finally on SPOTIFY!!!! .... far too late though :(

It could climb into the top 10 in the charts if it stablises on iTunes.

I know pre-orders don't usually get included, but there have been special cases over the past two years where they've been included by mistake, so i assume that's what's happened with Hospice.
Jo Cox moving up 1 spot in 5 hours isn't exactly a promising start

I think she'll be top 10 within the next hour. Now is when songs really climb.

I know the Jo Cox track has a physical, but I can't see the physical selling that much, I don't think retail outlets will have a massive stock of it, when the hype trickles away, the physical won't even shift. I'm just hoping some of the other charity tracks will just slip away over the weekend, I hate to see the chart saturated with charity tracks.
Hopefully Mariah's Christmas Carpool helps her to #1 Gaga, Adele and others join in!

Come on Clean Bandit :cheer:

Bets aside it would be nice to not have a charity single as the Christmas no 1 and a 7 week run would be amazing!

Spotify streams seem to be decreasing, Fingers crossed they get a bit of a weekend boost on iTunes.

Friends of Jo Cox is at #36 now I can start to see this taking off now.

Whatever happened to the, albeit minor, hype surrounding James Cordon's Christmas single for Sainsbury's?

Still waiting for someone to answer this for me.
