 57 - Honey G

The flop is real

I say Floppy you say G Floppy G Floppy G

Can we have a collab next with hardstyle producer Special D. (who had a top 10 hit in 2004 with Come With Me). Special D ft Honey G would be excellent for the artist credit names alone (ideally with some Toddla T production too and a Jessie J feature).

Matt Terry holding up much better than I expected, all the Christmas songs have plummeted and Matt is still Top 20.

How is she doing on streaming?

It's a newer track - Leona was still top 40 on iTunes in 2013 until after the new year - the new Christmas releases fall (slightly) slower.

Terribly. She's got 23,511 total streams so far this week.

Coming for that #83 debut? :o I thought she would be Top 20 TBH.

Well I thought before release it would just make top 40, as it is a quiet week and I thought she remain high enough on itunes ie. top 10 to counteract the moderate streaming (I thought she would have been about #60 on streaming). En el futuro I suppose if she has a decent collab with one of the rappers who supported her like Snoop Dogg (maybe produced by David Guetta so it may be a sort of Sweat 2) it may do well.

I really don't get how people thought Honey G would do well? She was a novelty joke act that got old really quickly and didn't offer anything musically. When voting figures were revealed it turned out she wasn't even that popular in the first place!
'Louisa Johnson - So Good' is remaining to be stable, unlike all of the other songs (that benefitted from the gift card) which have all had red updates. So does it have a chance of reaching a new peak this week?!
Its no surprise about Honey G, she wasnt as popular as they tried to make out which the votes showed, also she got booed on the x factor final which was a clear indication again of her not been as popular. I would think she only got a 1 single deal and based on that they would talk about a proper contract.
Yes Louisa! So happy with how 'So Good' has performed! Now all I need is an album! :arrr:

I read it was a one single at a time deal, though I imagine she won't get a 2nd single at this rate. I imagine she'll end up being a TV personality like Rylan rather than a recording artist.

It's weird to see George Michael collecting 6 entries in the top20 on iTunes France, including #1 and #3, and missing the top10 on iTunes UK. Such a huge difference in popularity it seems?

maybe cos itunes sales in Franc are very very low??

but agree, it's not like uk itunes sales are thru the roof, you need 5000 sales per day to claim the #1, surprised he cannot sell that

You need less than 200 sales to make top 20 in France and around 600 for #1, where as you need around 5,000 sales for UK #1 and 1,000 for top 20 :P

I think Careless Whispers could manage a top 20 entry on Friday, not sure on the others. BBC1 do have a special documentary with music tonight at 10pm, it won't be in the TV planner/ magazine as its a change of programme.
With "Careless Whisper" at #10 on iTunes and #15 on Spotify, I wonder if the streaming ratio change from next week will help him to go top 10 officially
