This is really growing! I'm still finding the chorus a bit clunky but I think I'll soon be able to look past that.

"wasted zombie" REALLY goes right through me though.

omg I was legit coming back to post about that. It's so awkward and cringe

'Dance, dance, dance to the distortion' is such an awful lyric.

I disagree with this. It's simple, but actually pretty clever.

Wasted zombie is the awful lyric.

So at first I was a little disappointed but this is a grower for sure and I am in LOVE.

It does frustrate me when I listen to it that parts of the production are recycled from Style though.

First listen I was not a fun - but now I'm quite enjoying it. A few lyrics I am not a fan of such as the wasted zombie bit, but I love the dance dance dance to the distortion parts

KP leads

1) I Kissed a Girl

2) California Gurls

3) Chained to The Rhythm

4) Roar

I LOVE the top 3 though.

Copying Joe's idea:

1. Roar (utter pop anthem)

2. California Gurls (basically same as above but a lil more cheesy)

3. Chained to the Rhythm (not hitting me as much as some of her others but it's a bit of an ear worm I think)

4. I Kissed a Girl (dated and a bit cringe, one of her worst imo)

01 Roar

02 Chained To The Rhythm

03 I Kissed A Girl

04 California Gurls (still a bop but v basic and hasn't aged as well)

For me it is:

01. California Gurls (still love this)

02. Chained To The Rhythm (pleasant and good carefree vibe)

03. Roar (always been over-rated)

04. I Kissed A Girl (hate hate hate)

And, just for my own amusement, full single list:

01. Teenage Dream

02. E.T.

03. Dark Horse

04. California Gurls

05. The One That Got Away

06. Unconditionally

07. Firework

08. Waking Up In Vegas

09. Last Friday Night

10. Birthday

11. Thinking Of You

12. Chained To The Rhythm

13. This Is How We Do

14. Roar

15. Wide Awake

16. Part Of Me

17. Hot N' Cold

18. Rise

19. I Kissed A Girl

To be fair, most of her lead singles rank really low to me. Feel like I have unusual Katy taste anyway, as some of the ones I hate are the one's people love her for

1. California Gurls (her most ikonek era and sound)

2. Roar

(Rise here)

3. Chained to the Rhythm

4. I Kissed a Gurl

Not here for Katy making Britney mental health jokes and then giving the worst vocal performance of the night.

4) Roar

I LOVE the top 3 though.

Exact same for me. 'Roar' is very overrated.

I actually thought it was a good live vocal for her, and I loved the overall performance.

Even though Britney's mental health seems to be such a common joke ('If britney can make it through 2007, you ca make it through today') the dig was misguided, I hope she makes some kind of statement/apology so people can move on from it.

1) Teenage Dream

2) ET

3) Waking Up in Vegas

4) This is How We Do

5) California Gurls

6) I Kissed A Girl

7) Dark Horse

8) Chained To The Rhythm

9) Hot N' Cold

10) Part Of Me

11) Last Friday Night

12) Firework

13) Birthday

14) Wide Awake

15) Roar

16) The One That Got Away

17) Unconditionally

18) Rise

19) Thinking Of You

I feel like "I haven't shaved my head yet" was said as a kind of defence mechanism to distract people from her being uncomfortable about talking of her own mental health, opposed to being a dig at Britney or her not understanding the severity of mental health. As pointed out, people are always sharing posts of "if Britney can make it through 2007, you can make it" and it's only intended as a throwaway comment rather than anything deeper than that. What's more is that people accept it as such, but as soon as a famous person says it, they're the biggest bitch in the world! It would be a shame if she was forced to apologise just because some do-gooders on Twitter made a mountain out of a molehill.
