Lol get a life.

It was a terribly cringeworthy scene, just when you think the show can't get any more ridiculous...

It wasn't a complaint at Stormzy, it was a complaint at the diabolical way the show was trying to be 'down with the kids' and 'realistic' when in fact it was completely unnatural and utterly embarrassing.

Idk, I think the election scene last week felt a lot more forced than this. I mean, I've seen this kind of thing with popular songs before and its not entirely unrealistic.

I may add, if it were a group of girls breaking into a song by Little Mix then it wouldn't have been an issue?

I doubt it would've been any different if it were Little Mix. Having worked in a secondary school with kids that age, I could never imagine a scene like that actually happening. It felt forced and as if a 60 year old writer heard Stormzy was popular "with da kidz" and shoehorned him in. The election scene was very forced and cringeworthy also but it's quite hard to believe tonight's scene came from the same show that's produced such incredible drama in the past.

Given how much ridicule the duff duff of Liam Butcher walking off with Wings by Little Mix got when the gang storyline concluded in 2013, I say I disagree.

It's not a problem about culture or musical taste, it was the way it was portrayed on screen. It was embarrassing to hear someone making a terrible pun and several characters break out into song. It was like that Justice For Tracey chant earlier in the year, just totally cringeworthy.

Having spent extensive time in East London, and around people of a similar age to those actors, I could imagine such a scenario (on a lower more improvised scale) happening.

LMAO! Keegan was even using road words such as "moist"

EastEnders went to Manchester last weekend for nothing, Emmerdale will keep destroying this programme in the awards every year the way things are going. I don't even watch EastEnders anymore apart from when someone dies or a major end of a storyline happens but after reading this thread I had to check out the Stormzy references and it was hilarious

That bus stop scene was horrendous - so forced and just embarrassing to watch.

Does anyone have any idea what Max is meant to be up to? I'm struggling to find a motive for the way he is behaving. Charlie even asked him and Max summed it up for him (and for the audience): "You don't need to understand." Yes Max, an explanation would be quite handy actually.

Maybe next they will show one of the school kids plugging drugs before a delivery

All we have to wait for now, is an episode of the characters sitting in the Queen Vic, some music in the background and no conversation at all, just silence. Lets face it, the show is that bad right now that an episode like that wouldn't be any less entertaining. I am at the point of giving up on the show as it feels like a chore to watch.
I am tempted to stop watching too and just keep an eye on the spoilers/catch-up to keep somewhat in check with the goings on (or lack of). That's what I did for a large part of 2013.

Well I'm so glad I don't live there then, I could die of cringe everytime I left the house...

It should be interesting this week though, with the new chavvy family  I think they are been introduced this week, can't wait for that whack coming at Stacey :nocheer:
I might just watch the Facebook clips each day, probs not gonna miss anything. I haven't bothered to catch up last night based on the clips
