Dido

She has 17 weeks at # 1 in the albums chart, but not one week in the singles chart, except as a guest on Eminem´s stan, she could have done it also as a guest on Faithless´ One Step Too Far which was fightinh for the #1 on the midweeks but got deleted after 2 days on sale, because the label wanted Gareth Gates to spend more time at # 1... White Flag nearly made it cause it sold 70,000+ copies on the first week, but it was kept off by BEP´s Where Is The Love, which ended up becoming the biggest selling single of 2003... such bad luck.

Janet Jackson

Rihanna

For me 'SOS', 'Pon De Replay' and 'Unfaithful' feel like #01's, its disgraceful they didn't get to #01 -_-

Kelly Clarkson

I think she will manage or come close to it with her next 'era' though

Keisha White

I know she's never been big, but shes much better than Corrine Bailey Rae and Jamelia imo and deserves to be recognised and have a #01

I don't like saying things should be #1 because I don't think everyone should share my taste.

I suppose Janet Jackson or Pulp are the very successful artists I like most who've never made #1.

Well, she did have that duet with George Michael if that counts. 'I Knew You Were Waiting (For Me)' in 1987. That song is pretty c**p though.

That song was #1 on the day I was born.

Dannii Minogue ('I Begin To Wonder' was robbed!)

Placebo

Sophie Ellis-Bextor (Yes, I know 'Groovejet' but solo. 'Take Me Home' should have been #1)

Depeche Mode

Sash! (unlucky about all the #2s...)

Although I'm not a fan, Janet Jackson should have one by rights after all the years she's been around in the music industry. I doubt she'll ever get one now unless she can release something up to the standard of 'Together Again' or 'All For You' that could be in with a chance.

Rihanna, Charlotte Church, Sophie Ellis Bextor, Javine, Christina Milian, Keisha White, Ashanti, 50 Cent, Bob Sinclair, KT Tunstall, Corinne Bailey Rae, Lucie Silvas, Pharrell, Rachel Stevens, Sean Paul, The Feeling, The Zutons, Hard-Fi, Faith Hill, Damien Rice, Jack Johnson, The Magic Numbers, Twista :D :P

Westlife

Read the thread title, Charis, Westlife have had about 10 million #1 singles, unfortunately.

Deee-lite.

The only act never to have a number one hit despite selling the same amount of copies as the #1 single (Steve Miller - The Joker), thanks to stupid OCC rules!!!

Oh & of course Led Zeppelin

Anastacia. She has released 3 studio albums and one greatest hits, she has uk album sales of about 3.3 million now but still no number 1. Left Outside Alone was the 7th best selling song of 2004 yet that only got to #3, shoulda been a #1

for acts that should have reached #1 but were kept off the top by chart rules / urban legends / unfortunate circumstances etc...

Sex Pistols (Jubilee year)

Deee-lite (Steve Miller)

Dario G (Diana)

Toni Braxton (Dunblane - although the Spice Girls put their song back by a week for the Dunblane song)

Stranglers (a change in chart week)

Dannii Minogue, she is always in the shadow of her sister, she nearly came close with the Riva hit, and I Beg To Wonder

Deee-lite (Steve Miller)

I remember that week very well, Deee-Lite were robbed
