They are the first and, so far, only group to win the competition. Following their victory, they signed with Simon Cowell's record label Syco Music and released a cover of Damien Rice's "Cannonball" as their winner's single. The members are Jade Thirlwall, Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, and Jesy Nelson. Little Mix released their debut album DNA in 2012, which peaked inside the top 10 in ten countries including the UK and US. This made Little Mix the first girl group since the Pussycat Dolls to reach the US top 5 with their debut album, as well as earning the highest debut US chart position by a British girl group, breaking the record previously held by the Spice Girls. In the UK, the album spawned the number-one single "Wings". The group's sophomore effort Salute, which was released in 2013, became their second album to debut inside the top 10 in both the UK and US. The album produced two top 10 singles in their home country; "Move" and "Salute". Little Mix released their third studio album Get Weird in 2015 and it is their best-selling and longest charting album to date in the UK. The album's lead single "Black Magic" reached number one in the UK and was also nominated for two Brit Awards in 2016. The group's 2016 fourth studio album Glory Days became their first number one album in the UK and was also the longest reigning girl group Number 1 since the Spice Girls' debut album 20 years ago. The album's lead single "Shout Out to My Ex" became the group's fourth UK number one single. The group has received several awards during their career, including two MTV Europe Music Awards, two Teen Choice Awards and two Glamour Awards. They have also been nominated for two Brit Awards and one Japanese MTV Video Music Awards. As of October 2016 the group has achieved four platinum certified albums and eleven certified singles in the UK. - Wikipedia Top 100 Chart History 2011 01 Cannonball -NAS- 2012 01 Wings -1- 2012 03 DNA -2- 2013 12 Change Your Life -3- 2013 16 How Ya Doin'? A breathy, bombastic blend of dancehall and disco with an empowering verse from Skip Marley—grandson of Bob Marley—the song is a plea to set aside our differences and find unity on the dance floor. She sings: "Turn it up, it’s your favorite song/Dance-dance-dance to the distortion/So put your rose-coloured glasses on/And party on." - iTunes Release date: 10-02-2017 Format: digital single Label: Capitol Records Chart sales: - Sales only chart peak: - Streaming only chart peak: - Video 8gsGhdZDC-0 Biography Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson (born October 25, 1984), known professionally as Katy Perry, is an American singer and songwriter. After singing in church during her childhood, she pursued a career in gospel music as a teenager. Perry signed with Red Hill Records and released her debut studio album Katy Hudson under her birth name in 2001, which was commercially unsuccessful. She moved to Los Angeles the following year to venture into secular music after Red Hill ceased operations and she subsequently began working with producers Glen Ballard, Dr. Luke, and Max Martin. After adopting the stage name Katy Perry and being dropped by The Island Def Jam Music Group and Columbia Records, she signed a recording contract with Capitol Records in April 2007. Perry rose to fame in 2008 with the release of the singles "I Kissed a Girl"—which sparked controversy for its homosexual themes—and "Hot n Cold" from her second album, a pop rock record titled One of the Boys. Her third album, Teenage Dream (2010), ventured into disco, and contained the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart-topping singles "California Gurls", "Teenage Dream", "Firework", "E.T.", and "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)" as well as the number-three single "The One That Got Away". The album became the first by a female artist to produce five number-one songs in the U.S., and the second overall after Michael Jackson's album Bad. In March 2012, she re-issued the album as Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection, which produced the songs "Part of Me" and "Wide Awake". Her fourth album, Prism, was released in 2013, and is influenced by pop and dance. She became the first artist with multiple videos to reach one billion views on Vevo with the videos for its songs "Roar" and "Dark Horse". Perry has received many awards, including four Guinness World Records, a Brit Award, and a Juno Award, and been included in the Forbes list of "Top-Earning Women In Music" (2011–2016). Her estimated net worth as of 2016 is $125 million. She is one of the best-selling musical artists of all time, having sold 100 million records globally throughout her career. In film, she released an autobiographical documentary titled Katy Perry: Part of Me in 2012, and voiced Smurfette in the 2011 film The Smurfs and its sequel in 2013. - Wikipedia Top 100 Chart History Katy Perry 2008 01 I Kissed A Girl -1- 2008 04 Hot N Cold -2- 2009 27 Thinking Of You -3- 2009 19 Waking Up In Vegas -4- 2009 03 Starstrukk (3OH!3 feat. February 17, 20179 yr Impressive chart run for Little Mix, not sure how far it will climb back up though. I know they have the BRITs performance but only a day sales to add after the BRITs
February 17, 20179 yr Bit of a disappointing first week really when you consider the artist, not even sure this has the legs to hang around the top 10 all that long. Not a fan myself...
February 17, 20179 yr One of the best songs of the year so far in my opinion, this is such a strong comeback.
February 17, 20179 yr I have to say I really like this - definitely one of, if not my favourite, song by her!
February 17, 20179 yr I expected a better debut for Katy but her Brits appearance should secure the song a lengthy top 10 run which is what matters.
February 17, 20179 yr I was expecting this to smash a bit harder but a solid debut nevertheless! I am loving the The Weeknd-esque production and politically themed lyrics.
