February 26, 20178 yr Camera angles aside, it really is just otherworldly. I didn't think anything could top Crucified this year for me. ejU7RKmmJMQ
February 26, 20178 yr Argh, who picked those! Lisa and Loreen may not be completely safe. And I wanted both FO&O and De Vet Du in the final, but am hoping more for the former. I really don't need to see Boris there but it's inevitable against dismissed. Same here, my ideal four from AC would've been FO&O, De Vet Du and Loreen (all for performance value as well as song) and then either Lisa or Anton. But I think "Road Trip" has become my favourite entry of the year, it's such a bop and so fun with the performance, if there's anything I want to see live it's that, so sorry FO&O, you must be sacrificed.. Ugh at Boris and Dismissed, the worst two. But I can't stand Boris and Dismissed are alright with the performance (it's just a strong AC) Wouldn't be upset if Anton beat Loreen, but I don't feel like it'll even be that close a fight
February 26, 20178 yr I really like Kiss You Goodbye, but it's practically a statement against the idea of creativity. It'll be an insult if it gets through over Statements.
February 26, 20178 yr I really WANT to see what you all see but Statements is all so style over substance for me and even the 'style' isn't particularly clear in the message it's putting across. Not to mention, while I don't always particularly care about diction, if you're going to put across a message that you think the world needs to hear, at least it makes it decipherable because there's only a handful of words, let alone lines, that I can even pick up that she's saying. It's bold, I love the production and nobody could deliver it better than Loreen herself with the emotion that feels so genuine but I keep replaying it to try and really get it but there's just not an amazing song or melody buried underneath it all sadly.
February 26, 20178 yr Wiktoria's song is currently reminding me of Not Ready To Make Nice by Dixie Chicks. I've had the studio versions of As I Lay Me Down and Statements alternating on repeat nearly all morning, perfection x2.
February 26, 20178 yr The production on the studio version of Statements is 12455/10 *.* and you KNOW Loreen hyperbole doesn't come EASILY TO ME
February 26, 20178 yr I've had the studio versions of As I Lay Me Down and Statements alternating on repeat nearly all morning, perfection x2. Same here  Probably my 2 favourite songs of the year in general tbh, as I said in another thread.
February 26, 20178 yr I listened to Statements on Spotify earlier - no visuals - and it truly is great. She should navigate her way to the final and get a respectable finish but this is still a very cruel circumstance currently. On a side note, no UK release for Robin Bengtsson yet? HELP!
February 26, 20178 yr Will get crucified (omg r.i.p) for saying this but I'm not THAT fond of 'Statements'. It's good but not otherworldly like I expected. Definitely here for a Mariette/Jon Henrik/Anton win.
February 27, 20178 yr Well, he is the lead and essentially the selling point of the track so I highly doubt it!
February 27, 20178 yr Spotify Sweden: Wiktoria: 5 Robin: 7 Benjamin: 8 FO&O: 10 Jon Henrik: 14 Nano: 15 Loreen: 17 De Vet Du: 20 Anton: 22 Mariette: 23 Lisa: 27 Bella and Filippa: 34 Ace: 36 :nocheer: Axel: 42 On my phone so that's enough for now but most of the others still in the race are just outside the top 50, even Owe!
February 27, 20178 yr Poor Ace, Sweden clearly don't know when they have a good thing. If it's going to be between Wiktoria, Robin and Benjamin, can it please not be Robin. He can't win with an inferior song to last year.
February 27, 20178 yr Out of the realistic contenders at this stage (with the assumption that Loreen is no longer one), I'm going to have to throw everything behind Wiktoria. Everything else would be a pretty underwhelming Swedish entry for me (even though I like a lot of them). I'd prefer Robin to Nano but it's still not as good as Constellation Prize.
February 27, 20178 yr Bloody hell at Ace, what are the Swedes smoking? Guess it'll have to be Wiktoria or Jon Henrik then - I'll be ready to lump Sweden into my hit and miss country list if they send sodding Benjamin. Or Robin for that matter.
February 27, 20178 yr They could do SO MUCH WORSE than Wiktoria. Jon Henrik would be a horrendous choice for an actual Eurovision entry, even with a translation his shtick would be met by bewilderment by most I imagine. I imagine it's between Wiktoria and Robin with Mariette, Jon Henrik, Nano and Ace somewhere in the mix too, though I would LOVE Ace to do it because it would be such a good entry.
February 27, 20178 yr I've never envisaged Ace being in the mix. As much as I LOVE it - more than her other entries, 'the general public' haven't really lapped it up enough to win, and I don't see it finishing top three in the final, I think it could come 7th-ish, but would be elated to be proven wrong. I don't LOVE that many of the contenders and I'm worried that whatever is chosen will end up as my least favourite entry since Las Vegas, going by the main contenders right now that aren't called Wiktoria. Then again, I grew to quite enjoy You in 2013 after being indifferent initially, so whatever wins will undoubtedly grow on me, especially as I'll be seeing it live, which always helps. February 27, 20178 yr FUMING that something as exquisite as Wild Child is not even remotely in contention.
