Ed Sheeran domination not as much as I thought. I thought more of his songs would be iTunes top 40 by now.

Ed's chart domination will come more from Spotify than iTunes I'd imagine

It's only 9am and he has 2 album tracks on the top 40. Soon all of them will be cuz most of them already top 100.

Ed Sheeran madness here we come, other artists should have waited for next week to release new music they have no chance, Little Mix might just get a top 40 chart position.

I'm a fan but after a couple listens I think the album is terrible and easily his worst, the lyrics are beyond bad, his attempts at rap are embarrassing, Barcelona might be the worst song I've ever heard or at least the one including more cliches :)

Ed Sheeran just seems to be rehashing everything he's already done before from what I've heard. Shape Of You aside.

I like the drop in that one, it is quite lively and funky compared to the usual future bass drop.

 

If Radio 1 playlists it in the coming weeks, I suppose it could make low top 40 officially eventually, same with offaiah - Run, but I can't see Radio 1 daytime playlisting offaiah as it doesn't sound very commercial and sounds more nighttime 'dance anthems'.

Is the Lorde song a grower? I wasn't too fussed on first listen.

 

Ed needs to go away. He's had a handful of genuinely good songs but this new stuff is just abysmal. I'm sure people will look back on it and cringe. Those faux-Irish songs are the worst things I've heard for a long time. He needs to take another year out sooner rather than later.
