Can't Speak French is piss weak and to have it as a single when this album is replete with INCREDIBLE pop tracks is so annoying. Though, it's still less bland than most of the Chemistry singles so there is that.

March 26, 20178 yr Can't believe the 'Sexy' love! It's one of their very best but I wouldn't have expected people to prefer it over 'Call the Shots'. LOVE all three 01 Call The Shots 02 Sexy! No No No... 03 Can't Speak French Same for me. I've been listening to Tangled Up recently in the car and I kinda forgot just how fantastic 'Call the Shots' is. Could possibly be my ultimate single from the girls. The first 5 songs on the tracking list are all stellar tbh, as are 'Fling' and 'Control of the Knife'.

March 28, 20178 yr I know 'Can't Speak French' does have its haters so some of the third positions it has been given are warranted but, for me, it's just unlucky to share the same album as such powerhouses of 'Call the Shots' and 'Sexy! No No No'. It has the balance just right of sound "album selling" but still being an effortlessly good, fun pop song. The hook isn't an obvious one but it slowly gets ingrained in your head and you have it repeating for the foreseeable. I'd definitely rank it up there with my favourites even if I don't seek it out to listen to on its own like I would for 'Something Kinda Ooh' or 'Call the Shots', for instance.

Call the Shots - The chorus is very good in this one and it has a more mature pop sound to it that would anticipate the sound of the singles from their next album 'Out Of Control'. 3.
