Sarah will be the wildcard but that has to be one of the most ridiculous results I have ever seen :manson: That performance from Sarah was absolutely incredible, and Ned was just embarrassingly unfunny. I'm so fed up of kids getting a pass because they're young and cute and genuine talent missing out. Just not my sort of comedy at all. It's a shame that tongiht and last night were so competitive though, I feel like on Monday Sarah or Grace & Ali could have won the semi, but I suppose you can say that any year  There's always a weak semi and a couple of really strong oens.

I think there's more to Ned's credit than is being made out really, I certainly found him very funny and I think he is talented for sure!
I agree, I thought he was better than his audition. He didn't put a foot wrong and was very confident in his delivery.

For a nine-year-old, his delivery was remarkably good. Some of his punch lines could have been spotted from space but the same can be said for some adult comedians.

Neither did Sarah...

Both did well. I liked Sarah but I am finding it refreshing that the singers aren't getting through and clogging up the final like they usually do.

He doesn't write his own stuff

I'm sure he doesn't but he's (just) nine. I suspect he contributed to the material but, at his age, a lot of the talent is in delivering the material whoever wrote it.

This really doesn't matter for me, I still laughed no matter who wrote the jokes! Ned's still a great showman and his delivery really was great for someone so young.

WOW @ Simon's facial expressions after it was revealed Ned and Tokio were through. He really couldn't hide how pissed off he was

Sarah's going to be the wildcard, obviously, which is a shame because I wanted the dancers (the boyfriend/girlfriend couple) to be :(

Agreed!

Just caught his performance on Youtube and although predictable, I still ended up laughing! So confident!

I also saw Sarah's performance, I really don't rate it at all! Like, she has a good voice, but it's a bit TOO much for me and I really don't get the hype?

Whether he writes his own jokes or not, Ned has a stage prescence and confidence most of us could only have dreamed of at his age. He didn't stutter or forget any of his jokes, and even remembered to take his jacket off at the right time. It's clearly something he wants to do and enjoys doing.

So confidence is once again mistaken for talent, saddling us with the Robbie Williams and Westlifes of the world. Great.

He is atrocious, sorry. I have no clue how anyone is entertained by childish jokes he didn't even write.

But Issy doesn't write (or even perform apparently) her own stuff either and yet people are wetting themselves over her. Also Sarah from last night...

I found bim entertaining and that's all you need on a show like this, imo.

Tokio was incredible - by far the best in the show this year. Also liked Ned, but imo Sarah absolutely KILLED that performance in a bad way :manson:

Definitely agree Pete! It's a shame acts like say Josephine and the Irish dander don't even get top 3 when whoever wins this semi probably would struggle for top 3 in other semis. Of course it depends who does really well on the night but I don't see much potential for it in the line up.

I bet we'll end up with the token really weird finalist like Jean Martyn tonight I imagine
