tbh @ my south west enthusiasts. How we feeling about the Lib Dem vs Tory battle?? I defo think the lib dems have the most chances of gaining some seats down here!

I think my family are all voting Green for the hell of it lol, I'm not rlly sure either, my area's comfortably Labour but my MP, John Cryer, that's been here for years was pro-Brexit, I'm wondering how that will affect things :x

I think I'm gonna go with Lib Dems, now that Clegg's out of the picture, I feel a bit more comfortable supporting them and I'm not sure I can really stomach to vote for Labour right now.

Of the parties I can actually vote for:

83% SNP

75% Green

71% Labour

70% Liberal Democrat

35% Conservative

34% UKIP

Surprised the bottom two are that high tbh :o

I had SNP as the highest as well but I just sort of ignore as obv I can't vote for them

Bit confused after taking that i side with quiz. 72% Lib Dem/SNP 69% Tory 66% Lab. Quite close between the 3 biggest parties.

I know for sure I won't be voting labour. Partly due to my dislike of Corbyn and partly due to my MP being Emily Thornberry. Although the only candidate who's confirmed so far is Lib Dem's Alain Desmier. I'll wait for all the candidates to be selected and the manifestos released before making my mind up. Likely a win for labour as they've held the seat for 30+ years with some close calls against the Lib Dems at times. The conservatives have been increasing their vote share here every election since 2001 though, but they'll need a miracle to take the seat. Labour won with 50.9% of the vote last election with Lib Dems losing a huge chunk of their votes. Although given Labour's position and Lib Dem's recent upswing, there's the possibility for an upset.

I took the I Side With thing last week, I think Labour did come out on top but Liberal Democrats were a couple of percent behind and with their EU stance and that I think they're the best option where I am (even if it does have the second strongest Labour contingent in Cornwall they were still third here last time), I've got something for this election. I think Corbyn would be a damn sight better than May on a country level but practically I'm in Lib Dem fightback territory.

I'm hoping at least some of them will flip back to Lib Dem - I think in Cornwall one or two might, probably not mine but St. Ives, St. Austell and North Cornwall have a decent possibility. Anything that'll add orange or red reinforcements to Bradshaw's red island in the blue sea would be good, I don't know as much about Devon, Somerset or Dorset but a couple of places could switch if the Lib Dems do their campaigning right.

65% Lib Dems, 62% Labour, 57% Green on isidewith...that helps me become less undecided  (is 23% BNP a bit worryingly high?)

Nah, I got about the same, they were the lowest party for me so I just took that as a good thing - and why are they still on there by the way given they are all but extinct?

68% Liberal Democrat

64% Green

62% SNP

61% Labour

52% Plaid Cymru

44% Sinn Féin

36% Conservative

36% UKIP

24% British National

20% Democratic Unionist

SILENCE!!!

THIS IS FAKE NEWS!!!

LABOUR IS 100% FOR ME!!

Also, oh dear

Your constituency voters side mostly Conservative. You disagree with most these voters on almost all issues, especially Environmental and Transportation issues. You might want to consider moving to one of these regions.

i think yeovil and bath need to be lib dem target areas around here! not sure about the rest of dorset but North Dorset will defo stay blue, our second biggest party in 2015 was UKIP :( lib dems have the best chance out of all the other parties, but we were also very strongly brexit. I reckon our MP will gain his lead, he was parachuted in for 2015 and there was some local worry that he would ignore the constituency for party politics (a close friend of Cameron) but actually he's proved his worth so i'm expecting him to have gathered support

74% | Liberal Democrats

66% | Sinn Fein

left-wing

Not sure how UKIP/BNP are that high lol oops. Conservatives also have a higher %age than I would've expected. At least this helps me decide whether to vote for Lib or Lab.

Vote Corbyn and stick it to the Establishment which is TERRIFIED of him and left-of-centre policies. It's time these papers, owned by rightwing foreigners, and the BBTory, stop with hese constant attempts to make us right-wing. Show them their propaganda has FAILED!!

To add to the family split discussion, my mum and dad are very floating voters that usually decide at the last minute. Generally they go with public opinion, so Labour until 2010 and then Tory since then. Although my dad is less so than my mum, he HATES Gisela Stuart so he might be more persuaded to go Labour this time now she's stepping down. I'm trying to persuade them both to vote Lib Dem. My mum will just go along with my dad anyway because she has no clue about politics. She fiercely denies it, but she does it every time

In my constituency there's potentially going to be quite a battle between Labour and Tories and even Lib Dems. Lib Dems have emailed me saying they're targeting it as their main focus in Birmingham because I live in a more remain heavy area and I'm hopeful we'll put in a decent showing but I doubt we'll win. I think Tories will win out, sadly, but there's going to be quite a battle between them and Labour because Gisela had quite a modest majority.

Could you actually engage with the discussion?

Thanks.

There's been quite a lot of campaigning from the iLLiberal Democrats in the South West recently, Bath and Yeovil would definitely be good targets for them however the Tim Farron's 'gay sex is a sin' controversy will not have helped his campaign. I'm still hopeful that even if the Conservatives lose some seats to the Lib Dems here, regardless it would be replaced by taking some seats from Labour.

That whole episode has been ridiculous. Tim Farron could have handled it a lot better but his voting record makes it clear that he is definitely not homophobic. The same cannot be said of Theresa May.

If anything, I think the Tim Farron "controversy" will help him and the Liberal Democrats in the long run. The witch-hunt against him has lead to many Christians who would normally have never given the time of day to the Lib Dems to consider switching their vote towards the party, many of them for the first time.
