Also the foreign language track with Justin Bieber could be #1 contender in a few weeks time :( I'm not really feeling it though. :(

IMAGINE THAT *.* That'd be incredible, can't see it happening myself but here's hoping

I agree, I bet they miss out by something silly like 700 copies, when sales are revealed tonight, I be well gutted.

Shawn Mendes might be in contention the week after, I must admit his track is a grower and so much better than Stitches. Also the foreign language track with Justin Bieber could be #1 contender in a few weeks time :( I'm not really feeling it though. :(

"Despacito" has been absolutely huge all over the non-English speaking world. It's a shame it needed Bieber to be a hit in English speaking countries but at least it has been mostly kept to Spanish. I've actually had it requested a fair number of times when DJing - before Bieber's version existed.

It really needs to take off though, if listeners and radio stations get behind it. Who would imagine Daddy Yankee getting a #1 track in the UK Charts  Even a Daddy Yankee Artist forum was requested at some point to be created on Buzzjack  now is the perfect time for one :D I have a feeling mdh will be on the case ASAP :heehee:

That's awesome! Hopefully it's an indicator it'll be big because there's no denying it's a banger *.*

Maybe Entea can get his Daddy Yankee forum then

If 'Despacito' does make the top 40 then Daddy Yankee will have had a 12 year gap between his first and second UK hit singles, must be one of the largest gaps of that kind ever?

Amazing but how?!

They performed on This Morning I think

I really wish Scared of the Dark had been added to Hot Hits UK.

On the plus side it will be the best remembered No.37 smash for quite some time...

It really is holding well for 37 peaking song I know they have been promoting it heavily but still
Amazing but how?!

Palladium performance and This Morning?

Is it still 59p? I can't see the price anyone as iv purchased it.

Yeah it's 59p :D

-x-

Charlie Puth's performance has been very underwhelming so far, I expected him to be iTunes top 10 by now but he's stuck in the low top 50!

how many other #37 hits have there been recently though?

edit: just remembered one, 'Juju On That Beat' only made #37 and I'd say that had more cultural impact than 'Scared of the Dark' (at least with the younger generation/Spotify listeners)

Who cares? Scared of the Dark is better than them all. They are all irrelevent in comparison.

It would be different, Latin pop was big in the late 90s in the UK charts, would be good to see another hit from the genre (especially one that is all in Spanish).

I was thinking "did that not get to #30?", then realised it was that 'Bad and Boujee' thing. I don't know why I always lump them together.

I think 'Scared of the Dark' will be fairly quite remembered considering, but then again the environment I immerse myself in is largely homosexual.
