June 3, 20178 yr Been deleted as it was apparently 'leaked'. Should be uploaded again tonight at 7:30. I saw the video before and I have to say it is mega cheesy, embarrassingly so, not enjoyably. It leaked yesterday and was up for about 10 minutes before going down!
June 3, 20178 yr This could well be my second favorite solo 1D song so far will be tough between this and I Don't Want To Live Forever for the second spot! The video is okay I guess just not an original concept.
June 3, 20178 yr It's very early Olly Murs. Bargain bin British version of something America's done before. Also, thinking Liam was the most popular member? Really? I never got that impression. Harry was the leader, Niall was the charming Irish one, Zayn was mysterious and a nice boy, and Louis was the other half of Larry Stylinson. Liam was always the one of the five whose name I was most likely to forget or get mixed up with one of the others.
June 3, 20178 yr Louis I feel was the forgettable one but Liam I feel was only boosted because of the whole Cheryl thing

Liam was always the one of the five whose name I was most likely to forget or get mixed up with one of the others. Exactly this pretty much! Although Zayn seemed to get noticed more for being totally miserable on tour :kink: Liam started out one of the most popular what with his audition, along with Harry's, getting the best coverage on X Factor (Niall's was shown on ITV2 while Zayn and Louis' never got shown at all until a montage clip later), but his popularity seemed to plateau rather than grow like the rest.
June 3, 20178 yr Yeah Liam was definitely initially second most popular on X Factor, even level pegging with Harry for a while. He had the Bieber haircut of the time too which people seemed to talk about a lot. But yes, he soon slipped right into the background as the rest of the band grew in confidence and popularity. Quite impressive he's managed two weeks top three with his debut single really! Not a song I hate or love but good for him. Surprised Niall's solo material hasn't done much better considering how well Liam seems to be doing. Edited June 3, 20178 yr by gooddelta
June 4, 20178 yr I think in terms of vocals and 'frontmen', it was always between Harry and Liam and they were always the obvious two for solo success. I'm confused by comments that Liam faded into the background. He always struck me as the Gary Barlow of the band - front and centre, but bland af.

Really? I always thought Zayn and Harry would be the runaway solo successes of the band. Niall and Louis were the Howard and Jason while Liam came across as Gary Borelow.
June 22, 20178 yr Each performance of this is getting better, I think. It's getting a lot more polished and smooth! He seems to be getting more confident performing it too! k0y9IpPTqhM
June 22, 20178 yr Despite being catchy and sounding pretty good in the club, 'Strip That Down' is a turd of a song to come across well live. Even that in consideration though, Liam is seriously lacking in star quality. You could picture Little Mix having a killer choreography to liven the song and performance up, but Liam just does some generic movements and generally looks quite awkward.
June 22, 20178 yr I get what you mean. However, I never expected any of them to be doing quite that much as soloists anyway  They weren't really *NSync levels of performers as a group, really!
September 5, 20177 yr This has reached a new peak of #10 in the US Billboard Hot 100 this week! Pretty impressive position for his debut single, it's been a pretty massive success for him worldwide :cheer:
September 5, 20177 yr Very impressive! :o Thought its chances were over, shows how much attention I pay to the Hot 100 :kink:
September 5, 20177 yr So proud of all the success Liam has had with this song. It's racked up 11 Platinum certifications around the world and is very likely to get a few more before the end of the year!
October 2, 20177 yr This is #1 on US Pop, dethroning "Slow Hands", making Liam the third 1D member to top that particular chart :o
