Posted May 9, 20178 yr Are there any particular GA/solo tracks that you've grown to appreciate more over time? The biggest one for me is probably Untouchable. I was kinda out of touch with GA (and music in general) at the time it got pushed as a single, so I didn't have quite the same connection with it as I did for most of their other hits, but over the years I've found myself going back to it more and more, and Nadine's "beautiful robots dancing alone" bit is one of the best moments in their discography. In a discography so strong I can't say I'd rank this in my top 10 still but it'd perhaps be top 15 now, as opposed to being one of their weakest singles a few years back.
May 9, 20178 yr 'Long Hot Summer' is the biggest for me. Really didn't rate it at the time, but now I appreciate it so much more and it's actually a little bit of a jam!
May 10, 20178 yr 'The Loving Kind'! I really didn't get it at the time but over the years it has finally clicked, especially Nicola's parts
May 10, 20178 yr "Love Machine" was definitely a grower for me. I remember thinking they'd actually gone mad when it was premiered for the first time, it was just so out there and like nothing else around. Only once I saw them perform it on TOTP for the first time and saw the video did it suddenly click and make sense. The dance routine for it in particular was to them what "Tragedy" was to Steps which helped, me and my friend even did it for a laugh in form time on Fridays when we were in Year 11 (around the same time it was released)!
May 10, 20178 yr Long Hot Summer was their least instant single for me! It took me maybe a week or two to properly get into.
May 10, 20178 yr I can't think of any Girls Aloud singles I didn't love straight away! Long Hot Summer was their least instant single for me! It took me maybe a week or two to properly get into. Still waiting on this one I guess
May 10, 20178 yr Lowkey bop tbh  Wish this performance was available in quality higher than like it was filmed on a potato :( rX83R-oZtnM

May 11, 20178 yr I'd say "Call the shots" maybe, at first I thought it was boring and it took me a while to realize it is the best pop single ever released, after "Biology".
May 14, 20178 yr I still can't warm to 'Call The Shots'. :( I suppose 'Can't Speak French' is a fairly notable one for me, it was there at the bottom of Tangled Up for me and I was enraged when they announced it as a single, but it grew.
May 19, 20178 yr The Loving Kind and Call The Shots were 2 songs that i initially felt lukewarm about. Now, they are 2 of the most played songs by Girls Aloud.
