He will end up at Spurs, the blocker right now is Spurs don't want to pay the fee cos they're skint and they also don't want to break their wage structure. Something will give, but it will be the last few days of the window I expect.

 

Personally I find him massively overrated. The typical 'Match of the Day' player. He has potential, but he has never really kicked on. Maybe Pocchetino thinks he can coach it out of him. I expect he will be more like Sissoko.

As you say, could go either way with him. I expect a similar fee to Sissoko's and he'll be one of their best paid players. They could do with more depth in attacking midfield if Lamela takes time to get back to full fitness - really that leaves Son, Alli and Eriksen and they'll always be using at least two of them if not all three.

If he can get back to his 2014-15 form, he could form a potentially very good midfield trio with Herrera and Pogba. That's a big if though, and a huge amount of money.

Can't see him dropping Herrera, so it'll be 4-3-3. Expecting Lingard to continue to be used a lot in big games to help strangle the opposition. We all know Jose by now, it's how others stop it working (and whether they need to if United continue to be completely anaemic going forward).

I don't think Matic would be enough for us to win the league this season but he would definitely improve our Defence/Midfield. It seems like Jose is slowly turning us into Chelsea with these signings that he's making.

Matic is now officially a Man Utd player. He's bound to be more consistent and trustworthy than Fellaini at least.

 

He has a lot to live up to with that first name as Nemanja Vidic is my all-time favourite player. As shown by my first ever username on this site.

If it helps get the very best out of Pogba then it's a worthwhile signing. I still feel we'll be a bit over-reliant on Lukaku (he's basically taken Ibra's role for this season) - Rashford, Miki & especially Martial all need to become more consistent.
