June 4, 20178 yr The standard in the this group compared to the ones before is insane. My top four would probably have been my 10 if they were in a different groups. June 8, 20178 yr Author Only a few hours left guys! (Also don't expect results until tomorrow afternoon - college is a thing again now)
June 9, 20178 yr Author RESULTS: Wildcard Round 10. Le Youth ft. Dominique Young Unique - Dance With Me (53 Points) 7ZoIYSAyKpM Scraping in in tenth is a song from American proucer Le Youth (known in real life as Wes James), his highest peaking song in the UK and the last to reach the Top 100. I can't deny this is a tune :music: I'd never heard it before but certainly a discovery for me! 9. Moby - Natural Blues (55 Points) z3YMxM1_S48 I'm surprised this is so low because I honestly feel like there were tons of votes cast for this! A 2000 hit for American electronica musician Moby, I would say this is by far his most well-known songs, with its music video winning the MTV Europe Music Award for Best Video. For now, it's through to the wildcard round in ninth. 8. Lethal Bizzle ft. Diztortion – Fester Skank (57 Points) kyVcEL0-iWg Heding 15 years forward is Lethal Bizzle's madly catchy Fester Skank. It's original chart run where it peaked at #11 was fairly short, however he racked up quite a few more weeks after the tune was used in the BT adverts. A remix involving Fuse ODG, Chip, Stormzy & Wretch 32 was also fairly popular. 7. Brainbug - Nightmare (62 Points) bvsqEFWZ9tw Don't kill me but I've no idea whether it's the original or the Sinister Strings Remix that reached #11, although one of them did and that's the one you've voted for. Released by Brainbug, aka Alberto Bertapelle (who unfortunately passed away in 2016), this was his highest-peaking single in the UK, with it also appearing in a number of soundtracks. 6. Miley Cyrus - See You Again (2008 Mix) (69 Points) aJDC3Gg-F8w Just missing out on auto-qualifying (I say 'just', it's by just under 20 points :P ) is this rather funky bop Miley Cyrus released before she became the Miley we all know from 'Wrecking Ball'. The version which did chart (i think) is a Rock Mafia remix from 2008, the song being about teenage romance  I'll keep the Top 5 tense for a bit longer ;)
June 9, 20178 yr YES for Brainbug! (and the Sinister Strings Mix is the original, confusingly enough) good to see Le Youth and Lethal Bizzle through to the wildcard round too.
June 9, 20178 yr Author Auto-Qualification 5. Blur - Coffee & TV (96 Points) 6oqXVx3sBOk No scraping this time round, as there is a clearly obvious Top 5, finished by this amazing(ly long) tune by Blur. From their sixth studio album '13', a song about alcoholism with the lead guitarist Graham Coxon singing lead vocals as opposed to Albarn. Apparently, it missed out on a Top 10 place because sales figures were not actually recorded. 4. P!nk - Family Portrait (100 Points) hSjIz8oQuko At #4 is a song from P!nk's second album 'Missundaztood' (which Adele apparently loved), portraying her as a child looking at the arguments her broken family were having. It reached Top 10 in most of Europe, but unfortunately just missed out here. 3. Green Day - Good Riddance (Time of Your Life) (121 Points) CnQ8N1KacJc Even if you don't recognise the name, I can guarantee you've heard this song. A staple at events and parties, this is a song from Green Day's fifth album 'Nimrod', with a music video that also won an MTV Music Award. One of the band's most well-known songs I have to say! 2. Adele - Set Fire to the Rain (126 Points) Ri7-vnrJD3k At #2 is one of the most famous #11s of all time, mainly because it reached #1 in America but didn't even get a Top 10 placing here. The second single from her second album '21', this song reached #1 in too many countries to name in this list but not here! There was also a lack of a music video, the only video available being a live performance. 1. Alanis Morissette - Ironic (154 Points) Jne9t8sHpUc And no surprise at Ironic being at #1 (although a little for me bc I don't remember it getting that many votes whilst Green Day seemed to get tons  ) Everyone knows this song, even if it is the butt of every joke seeing as it doesn't contain any correct examples of irony (although isn't that ironic in itself ;) ) Although that popularity has clearly helped it here, with it getting to #1!

June 9, 20178 yr I also just realised this is the second sixth place finish for Miley Cyrus  reminiscent of her constantly peaking at #11 with these singles. Though I imagine Party In The USA should have no problems making the final..
June 9, 20178 yr I wonder whether Primal Scream would have done better if they weren't listed under the EP title?
