Manchester City's unbeaten run is officially over! I always knew that Liverpool would win today, Man City just cant cope with Anfield for some reason. This will definitely not be the only time that they will lose in the league this season. Arsenal losing as well makes today coupled with Chelsea's draw yesterday makes this a decent weekend :D

What was Wenger's excuse today? The ground was too close to the sea? The referee allowed Bournemouth players to get within three years of an Arsenal player?

The atmosphere amongst Arsenal fans is starting to get as toxic as it was last season, at the beginning of the season they were resigned to Wenger staying for another 2 years but after the past week all the "Wenger Out" comments are being said again and there's even rumors of banners and protests being held again.

 

 

The thought of them selling Alexis Sanchez to us just like Robin Van Persie is making them even more irate as well.

Hasn't been the way with Liverpool though? Just as they are poised to progress, they falter. Going back as far as when Houiller signed Diouf and Diao in 2002 to win Liverpool the league title...

 

Think David Moyes deserves a lot of credit for the turn around at West Ham - a lot of people, including myself, were very sceptical about his appointment but we look an actual team now. And whatever he has done to Arnautovic should be bottled and sold to every underperforming player in the country. :lol:

Yeah David Moyes has done really well at West Ham, I thought he would perform similarly to how he performed at Man United & Sunderland but the results have been much improved during his time as manager and the performances have improved a lot also.

Moyes and Hodgson have both turned it around for their respective clubs so far.

Yeh Moyes is a decent manager - both are ultra organisers. Because he failed at United people believe he's a failure especially since United fans seemed to take it all very personally and have given him a huge amount of stick on social media. He was always a lot better improving mid table teams. Big Sam and Pulis do the same - the biggest club Alardyce has been at apart from Everton in Newcastle where he was a huge failure but it's easily forgotten!

Blame Arsenal's hierarchy not Wenger for Arsenal's problems.

Think Wenger is the hierarchy which is part of the problem!

A lot of Arsenal fans want the whole board including Wenger gone. Stan Kronke & Ivan Gazadis are the people higher up than Wenger but they seem very loyal to him no matter what happens on and off the pitch. Arsenal look like they have 6th on lock for this season, they remind me of how we were in the league last season but the difference is that we kept drawing last season but they seem to lose more than they draw at the moment. There was also more of a feeling of optimism with United because we were doing well in the other competitions apart from the league.

Typically it's always been the way, but I don't know, something feels really different right now. Even if we had drawn 4-4 or got beat today I wouldn't have been that arsed as longer term I honestly think we are on the cusp of a really special team. We need a few personnel, but I could really see us challenging for the league again soon. Time will tell I guess, but we've come a long way in just a few months.. if we sort a few of our other issues out who knows in the future.

 

Arsenal are just like Liverpool unfortunately. That team they put out today was absolutely terrible. I really like Wenger, but for his sake he needs to go at the end of the season as clearly some of the players just need something new. Whatever he is doing it is just not working. I mean they're not even that far behind the Top 4 this year, but once European football kicks in again I just cannot see them sustaining a challenge. The team just needs a bit of a refresh and it will probably take a couple of years.

Looking likely that Carrick will hang up his boots at the end of the season and join Man United's coaching staff next season, no confirmation yet.

Brighton are looking in real danger of getting relegated at the moment. They were comfortably mid table earlier in the season but after a bad run of results they're just 2 points clear of the relegation zone.

 

 

That was a hard fought win for Man United against Burnley, Martial coming up with another excellent strike to win the match for us. If we didn't drop so many points during Christmas we would be 3 points behind City now before they play Newcastle later this evening.

So do Huddersfield they look in trouble with a poor run of form.

Realistically anyone from Everton downwards could go down. I mean look at West Ham and Bournemouth, a few weeks ago they were looking in truble, both are now five unbeaten and they look in a healthier position, but a defeat or two in a row and they will be pulled back in to it.

That was another inevitable one, ever since the whole Everton approach he's looked like he doesn't give a f*** & neither do the players. Yes they're still top half but also only 5 points from the bottom 3 & were sleepwalking towards relegation...

 

At least they appear to have an immediate replacement unlike some teams (Everton) who um & ah for weeks and weeks...

Watford were certs to go down if they kept Silva. I can see why he's gone, their form since his head got turned by Everton has been awful.

Bit of a surprising draw today with Southampton and Tottenham there.
