Doubt he'll even bother our whole season rests on one game now. Not too fussed about Martial going he's not really kicked on since that wonder start for us. Would hate to lose Bailly though by far & away our best defender.

Martial is the one player in your squad with the potential to be amazing. I just don't think Mourinho likes him, you give him to Klopp and he becomes a world beater. Without a doubt will turn in to another Salah/KDB situation.

Not convinced myself on that. Has the occasional fantastic performance & admit the guy needs a run of games but hasn't really wowed me for a good while when he gets given his chance. It wouldn't be the first time United/Jose let a future superstar go though so watch this space...

He's quality, admittedly I don't watch him as much as Man Utd fans but he has all the attributes and numbers to be a superstar. I just don't think he is with the right manager. Would take him at Liverpool in a heartbeat.

What a great result for us..I was at the game, the team had a brilliant performance from start to finish..so glad we are now officially safe and staying up :yahoo:

Brighton got off to a shaky start to the season but I was always reasonably optimistic about the chances of staying up. I said several months ago that I thought one of the teams going down would have spent very little time in the bottom three in the course of the season. I was always conscious of the fact that Brighton could be that club! As it is, Huddersfield could yet drop into the bottom three for the first time on the final day of the season.

Even when Brighton were struggling to find their feet there was never much hostility towards Chris Hughton. There were a few people in Facebook groups criticising him at times, but they soon got slapped down by other members. There seems to be a lot of affection for him within the game, probably enhanced by the way he was sacked at Newcastle. All in all, an FA Cup quarter-final and staying up with two games to spare has to count as a decent season. There is still the possibility of beating the club's best ever league position (13th).

From the time of your post I'm guessing there might have been a bit of a celebration before going home  I only had a couple hours' sleep on Thursday night so I was far too knackered to celebrate.

Hughton is a good manager, plus he likes to try and play football rather than your Allardyce/Moyes/Pulis etc. - he's done well on a tight budget, it's pleasing to see for sure. As with all the clubs on the same level as you, finding a goalscorer next season will be paramount. Gross/Murray have done excellent this season mind.

Stoke officially relegated to the Championship, it's going to feel strange not seeing them in the Premier League next season after being in it for 10 years straight. Hopefully West Brom will join them later on today. I honestly can't think of a more boring team that I've ever witnessed in Premier League history than West Brom.

Haha yes there was but I'm not sure why I posted that when I did as wasn't late home.. Was on such a high I couldn't sleep lol

Liverpool's hopes of finishing 2nd are over after they lost 1-0 to Chelsea. They're in real danger of retaining the 4th place trophy that they won last season as Tottenham are 1 point behind them with a game in hand.

Edit: They're actually in danger of falling out of the top 4 altogether!

They won't lose to Brighton though so it's a little too late I think for Chelsea. Those 2 easily avoidable dropped points against West ham truly coming back to bite them now.

They could potentially draw against Brighton and end up 5th if Chelsea & Tottenham win both of their remaining matches. I don't think Liverpool will drop points to Brighton though but it's a surprise that things are as close as they are when Chelsea were about 10 points off top 4 not long ago.

We're in poor form right now and we've mad things difficult for ourselves. But we just need to beat Brighton. Won't be easy, but helps that they are now safe from relegation. Huddersfield may need to get a result against Chelsea so that helps matters. Don't really care whether we finish 2nd, 3rd or 4th, we're in a Champions League final. Just such a shame we've had injuries at the wrong time of the year and Lallana has never been able to get fit this year.

That should save Soton now as they have a significantly better goal difference, unless of course Swansea some how put 10 past Stoke

That's a gutting result :( looks like we'll be seeing a different sole Welsh team in the PL next season.

Between Swansea & Huddersfield now, Swansea could still be ok provided they beat Stoke & Hud lose their last 2 games but Arsenal have yet to pick up an away point this year so...

Huddersfield need just a single point and they've pulled some big results out against top6 teams this year so I would be shocked if they didn't get the point they need
