Yeh we were on an excellent run which would come to an end at some stage - hope we can make the top 4 again which would show real progress. An FA Cup run would be fun too as we haven't won a trophy since 2012!

Getting top 4 again this year is paramount, Keita coming next year will help massively. Fancy us to have a decent Champions League run too so long as we avoid Juventus.

Burnley's manager Sean Dyche has signed a new contract keeping him until 2022.
Josie has signed a new deal extending his stay by a year with an optional 5th year the club can unilaterally take up

Great news for everyone all round really. Can't be too long until the meltdown happens...

Aubameyang must be regretting his decision already! Arsenal need a new team as a whole, 2 players aren't going to make much difference to their squad. They need several new players in defence, midfield and attack.

Too early, or too late to judge. Their problem seems to be they just seem disengaged and lose their mentality sometimes. They do need upgrades, but I think they also need to get rid of Wenger. Whatever he is trying to do it is clearly not working. They've basically become a good cup team that can beat anyone of their day, but struggle to find periods of consistency and win when things are not going their way.

As a Liverpool fan I know exactly what Arsenal are going through.

That wasn't Cech's finest hour with the second goal he let in that Swansea scored.
Wow!, what a fantastic result that will be for Bournemouth, 3-0 up against Chelsea away... Hopefully if they hold on.

They're in another crisis. Conte next manager to go.

We were absolutely abysmal tonight. That performance completely belies the 2 clubs' current league positions.

An very abject performance from us against Tottenham. Where were the team tonight??

Have to say, I totally agree. Saying that, if your had had some luck in the first 10 minutes it could have been a different game as Spurs were all over the shop to begin with. You just seemed to completely lose your heads and let Spurs walk all over you. Mourinho had no answer for it. You have Man Utd, Liverpool, Chelsea and Spurs fighting for Top 4, going to be tight. He went too attacking and messed up. I would be surprised if that front 4 ever play at the same time again.

Great win for Bournemouth although not sure I would call Chelsea in crisis. I think it just shows how tough this period of the year is with an average squad and playing in 4 competitions. The league cup 2nd leg is totally needless.

I think every cup competition should have a two legged semi final since it's the final knockout tie before the final to make it totally fair but that's just me.

Jose will never start with 4 upfront again lol.

Wonder if Jose will actually move out of the hotel room now the new deal is signed??

I turned it on, they scored immediately and I turned it off immediately. Was not watching Spurs beat us. Had a feeling they would. Shame because they’re the team I most want to see relegated.

Was surprised at how attacking the line up was away against a top 6 team. I heard Sanchez was on the left forcing Martial right which is no good because he’s f***ing useless on that side of the pitch

Just shows how bad Mourinho is if you don't think you'll win after you concede less than a minute in to the game!

I actually read something earlier that in the 27 games under Mourinho where Man Utd have conceded first, they have only then won 4 of them.

We seem to be forgetting the fact that Liverpool lost 4-1 to Tottenham at Wembley earlier this season......

It's not a strange occurrence to lose to Tottenham.

Not blaming the manager. The team just lacks a fighting spirit when a set back like that happens. Could see it in the derby even though City were there for an absolute mugging. Too many players just bottled it. It doesn't surprise me the record is that bad. There's an insane stat about us scoring first and then not losing that is the polar opposite. Feels like too much of our players mentality/spirit is built upon scoring first and when we don't they just don't know what to do with themselves. Heard Jose subbed Pogba because he was ignoring the tactics from Jose - that's why I'm not really blaming the manager here. I'm not a Jose fan boy by any stretch, some of his big game tactics baffle me, but aside from the wrong set up of Martial/Lingard/Sanchez it felt like we were going in with the right tactics for once

I wasn't planning on watching it anyway but talked myself into it (hate watching matches on BT Sport and hate watching Spurs) and then that bullshittery happened and I was like "Nope I was right" and turned it off.

No it isn't - we were terrible that day too. But we also got ourselves back in to the game, before mistakes cost us and we lost our heads.

To be honest I put that down to your tactics, setbacks happen in football all the team it's how you deal with them. I have no idea why he plays Sanchez on the wing, I am fairly sure he left Barcelona cos he was fed up of playing on the wing.

Surely part of the manager's job is to get the players' mentality right.
