It's funny to think in the last few years we've had a Craig David resurgence, Steps go to number 1 on iTunes, James Arthur get a Number 1 and Geri Halliwell almost going top 20 on iTunes

Already 1? So I guess if it has maybe a day or two more it could have been number 1 easily.

It already has a Massive lead at #1, it will get even bigger after 7:30 as the video premieres during Corrie! I can see it being #1 on Friday to be honest.

Glad it has risen so quick, though I suspect that is more to due to a low sales climate rather than big sales for the track.

 

Streaming will massively hinder the track.

Digital Sales Data suggests it's already sold ~45k downloads. :o Not an accurate figure of course (likely to be much lower) but it could very well be a chart challenger if it keeps selling at this rate.

Guys that's not how Digital Sales Data works. It is an estimate of how much a song will sell in a day/24 hour peroid if selling at the exact same rate.

That 45k might be the sales projection for 2 days left

James started his career in 2013, while those three were most popular in the late 90s-early 00s

With another day it could have been number 1 for sure, but 2 it's just too short.

I think it was more a connection between artists making unexpectedly successful comebacks, regardless of their period of popularity peak

Surely the fastest and biggest lead in a while?

It was more in the sense of surprise chart hits or people who's careers seemed to be over before a resurgence

 

And yeah I know he started his career 15 years later but his return was still a chart surprise

if it doesn't slow down and does 50k x day x 2 days thats 100K come Friday, "might" be #1
