So this increased its lead in the mids today, Pink down to #3, and it now has an almost 2k advantage over Feels. It's really going to happen!

Omg I'm actually going to listen to the chart to see this incredible moment live, I don't think I have ever wanted a song to be #1 so bad :lol: When my faves get #1s it' usually bc they're already a huge act who'll be likely to get one, to see this build as we've all said time and again was incredible.

It feels kind of....'weird' her getting the #1 if that makes any sense, it feels like she was always like a cult pop fav, like the gays as well as huge pop enthusiasts loved her but the GP was only half-bothered.

Nah that does make sense, I agree somewhat, in a year like this it feels like such an anomaly of a #1 :lol: They've all been big established artists or at least featuring a big established artists, like Ed Sheeran, Harry Styles or Justin Bieber who could get virutally anything to #1 pre-album because of all the hype around them, so it's been so exciting to follow New Rules building naturally and getting bigger and bigger.

I had a feeling this might end up being a Run Away With Me kinda situation - loved by the online gays but the general public don't really take to it. I've never been so happy to be proved wrong! :lol: Really excited for this to be announced as #1, it's so well deserved.

Surely this has to be one of the best turn arounds ever? It's the perfect pop package, and so deserved.

I saw the iTunes thread and was like oh don't be silly but I think more and it's not even out of the realms of possibility :lol: If anyone could do those numbers in that time it's Justin. I'll be so pissed off if that happens, especially as this is the only chance Dua has and he'll be #1 for like 11 weeks now lmao

As much as I hope Biebers track is a bop, Dua just has to have #1 for at least a week!

I'm hoping that the social media spread takes a few hours so that it's negligble for this week, and people check it out on Friday when word spreads a bit further :lol: I mean Ed Sheeran got 7 million streams when SOY premiered so 400k in 7 hours is hardly out of the realms of possibility. Why can't he just have a Friday release like every other normal artist, is his ego that big he has to have his own spotlight with a thursday afternoon release? :/
