Oh wow.

I also heard of her but never thought that her husband trying "chart cheating" wow. Very desperate and disappointing... :nocheer:

If that's the case, its not really much worse than spotify playlist payola, which is 'cheating' too!

If he got the money to spend let him it would likely only have short chart run at best unless he a multibillionaire

I let him lol, I just don't think it has sense. It would make much more sense if he would at least pay for radio stations to play her songs or pay for performances for his wife then just buying her songs.

Kamiliya - I remember her from listening to Scott Mills show on Radio 1 a few years ago (I think she was a sort of meme on the show) and her saying 'I'm very famous in Ukraine' was played quite a bit.
She is a Model from the Ukraine and married to a very rich business man. It is said that her biggest wish was to be a famous and successful singer and so her husband does everything to make this wish come true. There are many rumours that her songs get into the itunes chart mostly due to "fake buys" (organized by her husband) because she does not happen on the radio, there is no promotion and her songs don't get much streams. Of course due to very high positions on itunes casual buyers get aware of the tracks and get to buy them.

Some singles and albums of hers have already charted in several countries (especially in my home county Austria  ) and have had very strange chart runs.

With the decreasing number of sales needed to chart on iTunes, I'm surprised more artists don't try this strategy. It takes fewer than 300 daily DLs to be in the T50 of the U.K. iTunes chart. Buying that amount every day for a week (especially if you put your song on discount), isn't that expensive a proposition if you are wealthy.

If it isn't it should be really. Not much difference between that & betting on your own football team (cough, Joey Barton). Not entirely sure how they would track it though so I guess that's why they let it slide.

Regarding the Kamaliya talk...

I don't think it is her husband buying the single, she seems to be in the U.K. With Scott Mills doing things for Eurovision?!?

It states on her website (in May) showing soon, so maybe something has aired somewhere?

Really weird, I can't believe her husband has already spent over 20m on her music career...it's actually really sad when that sort of money could help so many people in need (I guess that's life though).

Thought these were funny from 2012 - Obviously paid for promotion:

1) FREE CD in OK magazine

2) Appears on Clubland 23 & 24 (near the bottom album only).

Her YouTube account is REALLY Off too, 45m, 17m, 10m views but she only has 13,000 subscribers? Hmmm...dodge!

Timeless is quite a good song, I like it. I remember her form when she was on Scott Mills' show before, it was fun. I rmeember he took her to PoundLand and she loved it.

I heard I Got U, I prefer the verses to the chorus.

but sure if somebody tries to buy multi-copies on iTunes, the occ would notice if 1,000 copies came from one single IP Adress :D

Little Mix had a big jump this morning so are at 4 atm! :o

JUST THINK IF IT HAD PROMO 😭😭

Come on Wild Thoughts! Rih is due another #1.

Hopefully Bruno vs Guetta makes a dent soon. Sounds like a summer smash.
