July 3, 20178 yr Author Great to see Shape Of You looking likely to drop out of the top 20 this week!! Good to see Calvin getting another top 10 single and #2 album (boo Ed Sheeran for stopping it going to #1 but that was inevitable)
July 3, 20178 yr Judging by the fact Shape of You is down to #24(!), I'd say so! But Shape increased last week?
July 3, 20178 yr The chart looks so much better with this new rule *.* Hope power and your song get new peaks and Hailee/Alma go top 40!! <3
July 3, 20178 yr Author But Shape increased last week? They must be applying the rule retroactively (i.e. Shape decreased for 3 consecutive weeks previously to the rule change so would have received ACR weeks ago before his Glasto boost)
July 3, 20178 yr Really interesting top 100 with the new rules applied... Martin Garrix/Troye Sivan just outside top 70, up nearly 30 places Same for Kygo/Ellie Goulding Swish Swish up 15 Killers Mr Brightside actually up 10 rather than falling away, suggesting it's sales rather than streams that've kept it around in the top 100 so long It Ain't Me, Places and Zedd Stay falling right away from the 30-40s they've been holding just within for weeks Big falls for long-runners down the chart like Ciao Adios and Can't Stop the Feeling, but at the same time, re-entries for fanbase acts down the bottom of the chart like Bieber with Love Yourself.
July 3, 20178 yr from MW In the first week after the new singles chart changes came into effect, there are few notable differences in chart placings. The Top 10 in the regular singles chart and the Top 200 combined tracks are identical. The highest placed track to differ from the regular singles chart is Ed Sheeran's Shape Of You, which is at No.14 in the combined 200, No.14 in regular singles.
July 3, 20178 yr 'Witness' on rise, price reduction for Katy Perry's Album seems to have stabiised it. Rag 'N' Bone Man looking good to rise back to #3, he has done well to keep the Top 5 run going, will probably stay there for summer now. Edited July 3, 20178 yr by timjimlee
July 3, 20178 yr Rag 'N' Bone Man looking good to rise back to #3, he has done well to keep the Top 5 run going, will probably stay there for summer now. Could stay there until the big releases come in Autumn. It's done far better than many people thought. I thought he was a one hit wonder tbh.
July 3, 20178 yr Good to see Olly/Louisa at 31  I'm totally confused how Solo Dance is at 30, when it's 55 on itunes and 40 on Spotify? Edited July 3, 20178 yr by Mr. C. Joel
July 3, 20178 yr Good to see Olly/Louisa at 31  I'm totally confused how Solo Dance is at 30, when it's 55 on itunes and 40 on Spotify? I suppose there are a few songs above it on streams that have had ACR applied, others that aren't doing as well as that on downloads, and it might be doing a little better on Apple Music, Deezer etc.
July 3, 20178 yr They must be applying the rule retroactively (i.e. Shape decreased for 3 consecutive weeks previously to the rule change so would have received ACR weeks ago before his Glasto boost) Mr. Brightside doesn't appear to have had ACR applied though?
July 3, 20178 yr The charts look better now, think the OCC made the right decision with these new rules. Good to see Drake's "Signs" in the top 20.
July 3, 20178 yr wait, was thinking that Shape increased last week, but the rule is that it has to increase by 50%, which is actually a lot, and pretty sure Shape didn't cos it just climbed 5 spots so maybe it has rightly been affected by the rule still think Solo Dance is an error though, +20 weeks and down for the last weeks for sure, should have a 1:300 ratio and be 30 places lower :) Edited July 3, 20178 yr by Bjork
