I think I know who got the bullet... one of the

Looked like

Johnny to me, which would tie in with the ambulance paparazzi photos from a couple of months back! Would be a huge shame if they killed him off after recasting a popular character to bring him back and proceed to give him 0 storylines (acting ability aside). Could see him surviving anyway and it's an excuse for Linda to stick around with Mick, during Johnny's recovery?

Still expecting a

Jane or Steven death, wasn't looking good for the former tonight at all but it all feels quite obvious. Then again, do I have that much faith in the writers? :')

Things may be happening but I'm still finding this dull. Ted and Joyce bore me to tears and I can't see any viewers actually giving a shit about

Johnny

being shot; Bex and her teacher is an awful story development; and I don't really see the need to give Linda a cancer storyline.

That was definitely

Johnny

.

I agree Liam, it can get a bit slow being one day over the whole week, like we all know nobody will die or be confirmed dead til Friday so these two in between (and indeed yesterday's episode tbh) are just a bit pointless where they plant red herrins so you think everyone is dead. It's building up ALL week for one death that might not even be worth hyping. I do think it's gonna end up being Jane though that's definitely my #1 suspicion. At east that would be a "surprise" one, I know we are all guessing it but she's someone we didn't know is leaving. hat would be a bit obvious but no I don't have the faith in them to do anything other than the obvious

I think given Linda had a big rape storyline not long ago, there are so many underused females who could have done with a cancer storyline to challenge them. Along with Stacey though she is probably the actress they can count on most to deliver this storyline.

I was thinking all the signs pointing to Jane being killed off were just red herrings until Steven held her accountable for what she did to Lucy after she died. That felt quite final to me. Still don't think Jane being killed off is reasonable karma though.

Nah I said that to my mum, fair enough Max wants revenge for being in prison for so long when Jane knew what was going on (and Ian for a bit when he found out) but murder Jane and corporate steamroll the whole square is a bit much
I do think Steven won't kill her, in the end I think Steven will just grab her out as the fire enrages.

I genuinely thought it was Dot who had been shot

The only person with similar hair is Johnny so it is going to be him isn't it? I do hope we get some kind of explanation for Ted's (awfully acted) behaviour.

The pacing was far better tonight. It felt like something actually happened in 30 mins, almost too much!

Jane is definitely a goner. There's something almost poetic about her dying after finding out after piecing together a big secret - the same way Emma Summerhayes died after piecing together that she was involved in Lucy's death.

Whilst it's very much karma, it does feel too far. If they were gonna kill her off, it would've been better at the hands of Bobby. As liamk97 the way he took her to account over Lucy very much felt like that was it for Jane.

I only pray that Johnny is also gone and we can be rid of that plank of wood. Please? is it too much to ask?

Also ngl I laughed out loud at Johnny falling through the door. It was so comedic. The type of scene you'd expect in a slapstick comedy :')
I think the whole Steven mentioning praying etc makes me think could he be the one killed off like Ian or even him could save jane then realise he is in a deep hole and kills himself in the fire maybe.

It's deffo Johnny that got shot I reckon. It won't happen but I'd hope for either death or a face wound that would need reconstructive surgery and then we could just recast a better actor tbh.

Jane was my outside hunch for a death last week but I think it's almost certain now. Before today I thought either she or Steven had to die for the sake of the plot but the fact she seems to have worked everything out with regard to Max, Fi, Weylands and it feels to premature for this story to end so abruptly, it has to be Jane. Surely Steven will make it to October 31sr for the wedding-why pick out a specific date just to discard it 10 days later? And Halloween always seems to be a 'big' episode these days (though I can't for the life of me remember what happened last year) so a wedding involving Steven would be a good shout. The only way around not killing Jane would be to give her some sort of memory loss. But I agree with burbe and getting Emma Summerhayes teas from the whole thing.

Abi is incredible.

Cancer seems a bit meh for this Linda secret. Can't put my finger on why.

So glad Martin was arrested for assaulting someone. I hate it when characters get over emotional to the point they think it justifies violence. I also hated when the other characters were defending him and shouting at the police. Idiots. And Stacey what a damp squib was all that?

Is there nothing that can kill Phil Mitchell?

If that was Johnny I am screaming

I agree, now I think of it it fits with her character (as she wouldn't cheat and it's like Linda not to want to worry the family when they had money troubles, Shirley in prison etc. while she was away) but she said it and it was like "oh", I'm not sure what exactly I'd replace it with but you hit the nail on the head with that post, it feels a bit meh but I'm not sure how to explain.

Also Bex channeling her inner Janine *.*

I thought perhaps she'd miscarried/aborted a baby but like I said I can't think why this doesn't sit right with me. We'll see how it pans out I guess...

Steven's "time to pray" line was so random.

It's so obvious that it's Steven who is going to die, it's been obvious for all this time. Jane talking about another of Ian's children dying made it even more clear.

I thought the Linda storyline was to be more about her eating disorder, but maybe it'll tie into the Steven storyline at somepoint, otherwise it does feel like they're milking cancer far all it's drama without really showing the day-to-day repurcussions.
