July 28, 20179 yr I wasn't sure on Power at first, but fair play, this does sound extremely distinct amongst this top 10.
July 28, 20179 yr Stormzy's joint highest peaking song now then - I hope this doesn't go top 5, still a mess of a song lol ~ If only 'Touch' got one place higher then LM would still have only #1, #3 and #6 peaks out of their top 10s

Adding a tropical house tint to the plaintive, bittersweet acoustic original, Blue enlisted the talents of young British singer Dakota, whose sultry vocals helped carry the song to the top of 17 international charts, including number one slots in Australia, Scotland, and both the U.K. and U.S. dance charts. In 2016, Blue released the follow-up to his global smash, "Perfect Strangers," which featured JP Cooper on vocals. The single landed in the Top 10 internationally and was followed by "By Your Side" with Raye. His debut studio album I Created Disco was released in June 2007, and was the precursor to his UK top 10 singles "Acceptable in the 80s" and "The Girls". In 2009, Harris released his second studio album Ready for the Weekend, which debuted at number one on the UK Albums Chart and was later certified gold by the British Phonographic Industry within two months of its release. Its lead single "I'm Not Alone" became his first number-one single on the UK Singles Chart. Harris rose to international prominence with the release of his third studio album 18 Months in October 2012. Topping the UK charts, the album became his first to chart on the US Billboard 200 chart (where it reached number 19). All eight of the album's singles, which were "Bounce", "Feel So Close", "Let's Go", "We'll Be Coming Back", "Sweet Nothing", "Drinking from the Bottle", "I Need Your Love" and "Thinking About You" reached the top 10 in the UK. Harris released his fourth studio album Motion in November 2014. It debuted at number two in the UK and at number five in the US, and became Harris's second consecutive number one album on the US Dance/Electronic Albums chart. The album's first three singles "Under Control", "Summer" and "Blame" all topped the UK chart. Harris has collaborated with numerous other recording artists. His collaboration with Rihanna "We Found Love" became an international success, giving Harris his first US number one single on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart. Harris later collaborated with Rihanna on the singles "Where Have You Been" (2012) and "This Is What You Came For" (2016). Harris currently holds the record for the most top 10 songs from one studio album on the UK Singles Chart with nine top 10 entries, surpassing Michael Jackson. In October 2014, he became the first artist to place three songs simultaneously on the top 10 of Billboard's Dance/Electronic Songs chart. He also became the first British solo artist to reach more than one billion streams on Spotify. Harris has received ten Brit Award nominations—three for Best British Male, and four Grammy nominations, winning a Grammy for Best Music Video in 2013. He received the British Academy's Ivor Novello Award for Songwriter of the Year in 2013 and at the 2015 Billboard Music Awards was named Top Dance/Electronic Artist. Additionally, Harris topped Forbes' list of the world's highest-paid DJs for three consecutive years from 2013 to 2015. One of the most successful musicians in contemporary British popular culture, Harris appeared on Debrett's 2017 list of the most influential people in Britain. Born in Morocco, he immigrated to the United States with his family when he was 13 years old. He is the founder of Coke Boys Records, and its predecessor Cocaine City Records. In 2012, he signed a joint-venture recording deal with Bad Boy Records and Maybach Music Group. Montana has collaborated with record producer Harry Fraud and rapper Max B before his conviction. July 28, 20179 yr First time hearing Feels and it's rather good ;o I am enjoying this new Calvin direction, this is how you do the tropical sound well.
July 28, 20179 yr Mama will be on ACR next week I think won't it? Which should hopefully let Little Mix or Rita into the Top 5 but Subeme La Radio could easily jump and take its spot
July 28, 20179 yr 5 weeks at #3 *.* I guess this will go to ACR pretty soon but hooray for its chart run thus far anyway.
July 28, 20179 yr This back-to-back of 'Feels' and 'Unforgettable' Pretty sure 'Unforgettable' is my favourite song in the chart at the moment and Calvin has delivered again after I stanned 'Slide' so much.
July 28, 20179 yr Unforgettable is probably the best song of its genre for a long time, gives me real 2003 summer vibes somehow. Saw it live at Wireless (only Swae Lee performing it mind) and it sounded so good.
July 28, 20179 yr 5 weeks at #3 *.* I guess this will go to ACR pretty soon but hooray for its chart run thus far anyway. It will be ACR in two weeks, 50% increase permitting.
July 28, 20179 yr Not really my cup of tea either hence I just follow this thread while listening to other stuff normally :P It does seem to be more amateurish, but also: I do disctinctly remember a point probably 6 or 7 years ago when Radio 1 seemed to actively change its style and aim younger. Probably around the time they were told to after their demographics showed they weren't hitting what bosses wanted. Where it used to be aimed at older teens and early 20s I'd now say its aimed primarily at younger and older teens, and whoever else will listen out of habit. Yeah I think you're probably right. I still follow the midweeks etc and buy a lot of current music, just can't stand the way the chart is now. I'm shocked at how amateurish it is and how many songs they're skipping :o I guess the declining listening figures they talked about years ago means there isn't really an audience for, or worth putting any effort into a three hour chart show :(
