August 3, 20177 yr That's great news to hear about them showing an match from each preliminary round.
August 5, 20177 yr The BBC have today confirmed that FA Cup matches, including on from each prelim rounds, will be available to stream on iPlayer and BBC Sport http://www.bbc.co.uk/mediacentre/latestnew...kname=corporate I saw most of the Litherland Remyca v AFC Liverpool tie. It was a enjoyable match and it's good to see the BBC investing in the grassroots game like this. If you were watching too you might have noticed my tweet being read out near the end :D After that was over I went to see Hamworthy Utd v Bemerton Heath Harlequins. The Hammers (yes, really) took a very early lead and made it 2-0 at the start of the second half before BHH pulled it back to 2-1 a few minutes later. After several scares two late goals gave the Hammers a flattering 4-1 win.
August 5, 20177 yr The thing I love about the preliminary rounds of the FA Cup is that most of the team names all seem like sound-a-like names used by football games in the 90s when they couldn't get the copyright to the official team names.
August 5, 20177 yr Author I didn't watch, unfortunately I was committed elsewhere at the BBC. (literally. I was at Dock10 watching them film a gameshow) I'm just waiting for the National League teams to be drawn in and hoping Chester can have a good run at it this year.
August 5, 20177 yr I didn't watch, unfortunately I was committed elsewhere at the BBC. (literally. I was at Dock10 watching them film a gameshow) Ooh, what gameshow?
August 9, 20177 yr Author The Boss! I'd not seen it before but I really enjoyed it. It was rather comical
August 31, 20177 yr Sadly the "Papering over the cracks" cup these days :(. Real shame, cos growing up, Cup Final Day was a huge deal in our household.
September 1, 20177 yr The BBC's live match (on the red button and iPlayer) is Billericay Town v Didcot Town. Billericay's players include former Brighton player Jake Robinson who scored a rather good goal against Dulwich a few days aga. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/41128014
October 16, 20177 yr First Round Draw Stevenage vs Nantwich/Kettering Bradford City vs Chesterfield Port Vale vs Oxford United Newport County vs Walsall Morecambe vs Hartlepool Yeovil Town vs Southend United Peterborough United vs Tranmere Rovers Cambridge United vs Sutton United Forest Green Rovers vs Macclesfield Town AFC Fylde vs Kidderminster Harriers Luton Town vs Portsmouth Shrewsbury Town vs Aldershot Town Hereford vs AFC Telford Guiseley vs Accrington Stanley Blackburn Rovers vs Barnet East Thurrock/Ebbsfleet vs Doncaster Rovers Leatherhead vs Brackley/Billericay Boreham Wood vs Blackpool Shaw Lane vs Mansfield Town Colchester United vs Oxford City Plymouth Argyle vs Grimsby Town AFC Wimbledon vs Lincoln City Rochdale vs Dover/Bromley Coventry City vs Maidenhead United Chorley/Boston United vs Fleetwood Town Carlisle United vs Oldham Athletic Notts County vs Bristol Rovers Dartford vs Swindon Town Cheltenham Town vs Maidstone United/Enfield Town Woking/Concord Rangers vs Bury Crewe Alexandra vs Rotherham United Gillingham vs Dagenham and Redbridge/Leyton Orient Hyde United vs MK Dons Gainsborough Trinity vs Slough Town Solihull/Ossett vs Wycombe Northampton vs Scunthorpe Chalton Athletic vs Truro City Wigan Athletic vs Crawley Town Gateshead vs Bath City/Chelmsford Exeter City vs Heybridge Swifts
November 5, 20177 yr Boreham Wood, Oxford City and Maidstone knocked out league opposition. Sutton and Lincoln are out of the FA Cup. Shame to see that after the heroics they performed last season.
November 11, 20177 yr Second Round Draw AFC Wimbledon v Charlton Athletic Bradford City v Plymouth Argyle Doncaster Rovers v Northampton or Scunthorpe Blackburn Rovers v Crewe Alexandra Gillingham v Carlisle United Shrewsbury Town v Morecambe Forest Green Rovers v Exeter City Newport County v Cambridge United Port Vale v Yeovil Town Stevenage v Swindon Town Fleetwood Town v Hereford FC (Southern League Premier - Level 7) Milton Keynes Dons v Maidstone United (Conference National) Coventry City v Boreham Wood (Conference National) Notts County v Oxford City (National League South - Level 6) Wycombe Wanderers v Leatherhead (Isthmian League Premier - Level 7) or Billericay Town (Isthmian League Premier - Level 7) Mansfield Town v Guiseley or Accrington Woking or Bury v Peterborough or Tranmere
November 16, 20177 yr So an Billericay side that has Jermaine Pennant and Paul Konchesky got beaten by Leatherhead in their replay.
December 4, 20177 yr FA Cup third-round draw Ipswich v Sheffield United Watford v Bristol City Birmingham v Burton Liverpool v Everton Brighton v Crystal Palace Aston Villa v Woking or Peterborough Bournemouth v AFC Fylde or Wigan Coventry v Stoke Newport v Leeds Bolton v Huddersfield Port Vale or Yeovil v Bradford Nottingham Forest v Arsenal Brentford v Notts County QPR v MK Dons Manchester United v Derby Forest Green or Exeter v West Brom Doncaster v Slough Town or Rochdale Tottenham v AFC Wimbledon Middlesbrough v Sunderland Fleetwood or Hereford v Leicester Blackburn or Crewe v Hull Cardiff v Mansfield Manchester City v Burnley Shrewsbury v West Ham Wolves v Swansea Stevenage v Reading Newcastle v Luton Millwall v Barnsley Fulham v Southampton Wycombe v Preston Norwich v Chelsea Gillingham or Carlisle v Sheffield Wednesday
December 4, 20177 yr I'm going to stick my neck out and say that Liverpool v Everton will be one of the live games. Other likely choices - Brighton v Palace, Nottm For v Arsenal, Fleetwood or Hereford v Leicester, Norwich v Chelsea, Shrewsbury v West Ham.
December 4, 20177 yr Author Don't forget Man U v Derby. United's consecutive run of broadcast FA Cup matches is over 50 now or something daft like that
December 4, 20177 yr I think this could be the round when Man U's run of televised matches finally ends. Of course, with City at home as well, that doesn't necessarily mean a Saturday 3.00 kick-off.
December 4, 20177 yr Liverpool vs Everton the big game of the draw - assuming BBC get he first pick, I can assume it will either be a Sunday or Monday night televised game? I have noticed the BBC especially picking more leftfield choices recently for televised games.
December 5, 20177 yr Nottingham Forrest vs Arsenal will get shown on BT Sport I would imagine. Outside chance of Tottenham vs Wimbledon as well as it will be a big day out at Wembley for the opposition fans and the journalists.
