4 Liam Gallagher - For What It's Worth

7 P!nk - What About Us

New Liam single very high in comparison to Chinatown, maybe this one's a proper single not sure

P!nk should reach #1 on itunes quite easily, a top ten entry at least next week?

Avicii's 'Without You' on the second column of Hot Songs!! Great to see this is the one getting pushed, it's the best off the EP.

Yes at this getting pushed, I was so worried they'd just push Lonely Together because of Rita Ora

THIS

Why are so many songs out today? Isn't it Thursday?

OMG NEW PINK, is it a lead single?

Yap and that's generic but for me a good one, like a follow up for A Sky Full Of Stars, I think it can be a huge hit.

Little Mix would not record something so bland. They'd inject a bit of personality into it. But then again if Little Mix or another girl band was to record 'Rain' it wouldn't be anywhere near #1 (I think it'd actually be considered "career suicide" if it was Little Mix)... The Script are just lucky they're males tbh.

Glen Campbell has a lot of songs in which you don't quite realise were him, but you'd know if you heard them sort of thing. 'Southern Nights' is pretty great! It's use in the new 'Guardians of the Galaxy' movie in particular

Why the gender remark??

Why the gender remark??

Because it's an interesting topic sometimes, there's a lot of different standards in life for women and men, and it's often represented in music too.

So would I be right in saying that LM only get hits because of their looks??

No

I'm not a fan of the Script song but my point is that quality is objective and it's highly offensive to suggest it's no1 simply because it's by a male artist even if genders are treated different or by differing standards, that's not The Scripts fault!

Highly offensive

For pointing out that men often have it easier, especially in 2017 where men have dominated the charts?

Sure

My point is that that isn't the Scripts fault and quality is an objective thing at any rate!
I think it's a bit much to claim that male domination in the charts is some sort of social agenda against women. In the 00s there were a few periods where females truly dominated and we went weeks without seeing a man at the top. This is just the way things go. Little Mix don't seem to be very held back by anything and I fully expect to see them at no.1 again this Autumn when they launch a new album. Pink seems to be doing well initially. Adele would easily be successful if she released a new single next week. Taylor Swift will be huge, Beyoncé would have a string of long running hits if she was on Spotify, ditto Rihanna. Heck, even Dua Lipa is being talked about as a potential no.1. I really don't think it's healthy to be separating everyone by gender or making outlandish comments about the general public's music taste being sexist.

214. Avicii - Without You (feat. Sandro Cavazza)

1240. Avicii - Lonely Together (feat. Rita Ora)

This is extremely impressive, the UK is currently her highest position on iTunes around the world. The UK is even beating Australia at the moment and the Aussies are P!nk CRAZY, although admittedly it is midnight there :P
