If New Rules is 59p on Friday then it's surely headed to #1

Yeah but I'd like to think that they'll pull out all the stops for the #1. Funny really as the success of this song is completely unexpected. I doubt her label thought it'd be much more than a top 20.

 

 

Making "New Rules" 59p will gain some sales but not enough for number 1 overall. Streaming is still massively key.
Good thing is though that New Rules is safe from ACR from a while, whereas Despacito, Wild Thoughts, Feels, and Unforgettable are suffering/will likely suffer soon and move down the charts. Even if Dua can't get to #1 by her own merit via downloads and streaming there's still all the chance that she'll get pushed up (similar to how Wild Thoughts became #1). The Script is doing better on sales but there's no way in he'll Rain will go Top 5 (or even Top 10) in streaming. Sun Comes Up is Duas only real competition at the moment but I doubt it'll outpeak New Rules.

This thread is like being in The Saturday's forum where we used to discuss that their single needs to be discounted asap. If 'SUBEME LA RADIO' is discounted to 59p then I'm sure that should manage to be the next number one, incredibly surprised to see Matt Terry looking likely of getting another top five hit! I heard it for the first time today and surprisingly loved it.

Dua is doing really well on streaming (Spotify) though. In the last 7 days she's increased by around 60,000 whereas Feels and Despacito have both decreased. If this continues she could easily get no 1 on streaming..

Imo not sure New Rules needs to be 59p right now, maybe a few weeks but this is climbing really well at full price so i wouldn't action that just yet.

It's more so to help speed it up because a big single could drop any week. I'd hate for it meet the same fate as 'Human'

Like I said - New Rules is now number 4 on Spotify just passing Feels, So it she can really rise up with a discount she can do it next week if Feels can do it this week, And she's only 50K less than first place and she has the newest song out of them.
Yeah, if she does discount it, which I'm not sure about...I think it'll be a big #1 contender.
And 2nd version of Despacito out of the top 10

iTunes need to make the NOW 97 version album-only like they did with the NOW 96 version of "Skin"
