A general thread for little bits that don't need a full thread.

The big news at the moment is Taylor's trial for sexual assault in which a radio DJ allegedly groped her during an interview. Hope the bast*rd gets what's coming to him :/

Is the banner stretching the page because I'm on mobile... or?
It's a rather big banner, I just picked the first vaguely new Taylor image I could see. I'm not sure how that compares to other AF banners.

I have re-started up my old Swift Instagram fan account (and I still have +900 followers somehow despite getting hacked and posting shit for a year and a half ) so hopefully that'll bring more people here!

(also I am going through my old DM's and I was sending Taylor multiple pictures of drawings I did of her a few years ago!!!!)

Great choice minus the stretching. She looks stunning there. Is it recent?

Breaking news that Taylor has won her trial and has been awarded her $1! Of course the verdict is so much more important than that, and amazing from Taylor and her family and lawyers to get the justice they deserve. :cheer:

Taylor's case has helped an abuse hotline see an increase in use.

Two organizations working with victims of assault told ABC News that they have already benefited from Swift taking on Mueller in court.

The Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network, or RAINN, reported that its national hotline saw a 35 percent increase in use from Friday to Monday.

Swift's victory is "a great demonstration to other victims that there is strength in coming forward and pursing justice," RAINN's president Scott Berkowitz told ABC News.

While acknowledging that Swift had the resources to pursue a civil case in court, Berkowitz said one of the biggest challenges for victims of sexual violence is not financial, it's their reluctance to tell anyone that they've been assaulted.

This is so important and I'm glad Taylor's impact from the court case has managed to help people come forward and get justice against their assaulters <3

We won the posters chart this week among AFs with 600 posts, thanks to everyone for getting involved in the community as that is a FAB result  We were even ahead of most main forums except The Lounge and UK charts!!

(I am ofc excluded the spam fest that technically beat us x)

Taylor's been nominated for a Country Music Award for Song Of The Year as the sole writer of Better Man by Little Big Town  I feel it's between her and Miranda Lambert fro Tin Man, Sam Hunt's Body Like A Back Road is by far the biggest hit on the list though so he could get it too. It'd be fab for her to get it in this pop era, still slaying the country world *.*

I Don't Wanna Live Forever is now on Universal's site as being submitted officially for Oscar contention! Hopefully it will get nominated

(it is also the only Fifty Shades song submitted by the looks of it as well!)

Vanessa Carlton has come for Taylor with some utterly idiotic message on her instagram story.

This kind of stuff just irritates me so much. Where was Vanessa commenting on when Taylor had her court case or when Taylor gave money to Kesha to help her again? so hypocritical. And the Gwyneth comment has aged really badly for obvious reasons.
